Ask your GM or Sales Manager contact the Regional Manager to honor your PCO.  This is part of a message from my fleet manager when we figured out my truck wouldn’t make it by the 3rd.  “If it arrives after the fact I will do an exception request.”

I have a PCO that expires at the end of February and I’ll be in the same boat as you but as salesman always are mine says as long he as he has it in his file it should be honored. So it was Ford not gonna honor it since it’s not due to you for the delay ?

I asked the dealer to reach out to the regional Ford rep a couple weeks ago.  He supposedly said "Look him up in Vincent when he comes to sign & if there is something in there that was active the day he ordered or the day he takes delivery, give it to him."  Well, duh.  Sounded like a long-winded "no," but since I did get x-plan pricing, I'm not going to cry too much.

  2. The wait is finally over!  I put in my order 6/12 and gave the dealer $1,000 deposit.  The order was turned in 6/14 and I got email confirmation within a day or two.  Finally in Oct I got a scheduled email, with a VIN a few days later.  After several scheduled "to the week" and "to the day" changes, it was finally built 12/20.  I had a PCO for $3,500 that expired 1/3, and sure enough my truck delivered to the dealership today - 8 days too late for the PCO.  And, of course, now I've either got a cold or the 'rona and can't go pick it up.  So, pictures will be forthcoming.  Hang in there, boys.  There is light at the end of the tunnel.

If they don’t follow plan rules like the $100 doc fee limit all you have to do is call the Ford plan hotline and they’ll straighten it out.  Now that assumes it was actually a plan sale as opposed to them just giving him X plan pricing without submitting a pin.  In that case they can charge anything they want.

But, if you raise a stink with the dealership over what is and is not allowed under a plan, since they're not required to accept plan pricing, can't they just stop the sale?  In my case they're charging me $150 doc fee, and other fees (e-file, processing and handling).  And now, just before my truck is to be delivered, they're wanting to charge current pricing (I ordered in June) AND they're telling me they have to run my credit to protect against fraud and identity theft - even though I'm bringing my own financing and cash!!!  If I say no to any of this, can't they simply say "Ok, we're not selling you this at x-plan pricing" and put it on the lot marked up $20k over sticker (which is the markup this dealership is using per their website)?

No. Once it's on a car carrier it'll be delivered to the dealership within 24 hours and you can't track it.

Ok, thank you!  I got my "shipped" notification today, with an ETA of 1/8/22.  Since rail cars seem to take quite a while, I assumed it was coming by truck all the way to Mesquite, TX.  That's only about 1.5 days driving (for CDL drivers).  I also remember you saying that email notifications are not instantaneous, and ETAs are not always 100% accurate.  Just checking.  Thanks again!

  5. Well, strange happenings on my end.  The "AsBuilt" site has populated the BCE module, but not the PCM.  Ford tracking site says "In Production" as of 12/15/21, but not "built."  It also has a delivery ETA of 1/5/22.  Tracking on this site shows "In Production - Produced" as of 12/15/21.  No emails from Ford.  Am I in the dreaded "chip hold" or what?  So close, yet so far away...

  6. @ice-capades Question for you.  I ordered SD in June, and my order sheet from the dealer shows a price level of 230.  I've read that the number I've highlighted on my window sticker (attached) is the price level, which shows 240.  I've read your posts that retail orders are price protected so I've been assuming I'll get the 230 level.  I'm curious why, though, 240 is on the window sticker.  Thanks!

Not necessarily. That’s what I thought. The problem with my order is I ordered the truck before I received the offer. My dealer says I had to receive the offer, then place the order. ?‍♂️

Exactly what my dealer told me.  But, after reading on here where one dealer reached out to the Ford regional guy to try to get it locked in, I asked my dealer to do the same.  After all, it's not our fault the trucks we ordered 6-8 months ago may still not be delivered by January 3rd.  My dealer said he would ask the Ford regional rep for help  Fingers crossed!

  8. AS must not be a problem any longer!!!!  Got my email from Ford today (dealer emailed literally 2 minutes after I got the one from Ford) saying my build week is 11/22/21 (Thanksgiving week...oh boy).

F250 Limited, SRW, AS, engine block heater, heavy service front suspension, roof clearance lights, FX4, 3.31 ELA, in Atlas Blue.  Got x-plan pricing, AND got a $3,500 PCO that requires me to take delivery by 1/3/22.

    Ordered 6/14/21

    Email Confirmation 6/15/21

Notified of build week on 10/14/21 (build week of 11/22/21)

  9. I just got a $3,500 PCO, but it says "Place order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer’s stock by 1‌/‌3‌/2‌2."  I ordered 6/14/21, so since I ordered before I got the PCO, and may or may not be able to take delivery by 1/3/22 (I have Adaptive Steering), will I get to use the PCO?

Called my dealership and spoke to the manager who does the ordering. He said because I am getting a 2022 F250 Limited with adaptive steering (standard) they won’t have the chip until sometime in October 2021 and can start building my truck then. I have a priority number of 10.

How reliable is his information, in your opinion?  I've got the same truck ordered, and would be delighted with an Oct build considering I've been worrying I might not get it by the end of the year!

I have heard that the reason the king ranch are being built is because of the different color steering wheel….? This is a theory someone came up with but makes sense. Where the platinums use the black steering wheel. Who knows how true it is but makes sense.

I read the same theory and agreed that it could possibly be the reason.  But they must also be out of blue steering wheels with AS for the Limited trim trucks.

My dealer told me Ford is only scheduling AS on King Ranch trucks.  No explanation why.

My F250 KR Ultimate CCLB with AS was built last week and ready for shipment......no issues. Ordered in May.

Yeah, and I can't figure out what difference it makes in a KR vs Platinum, Lariat & Limited.  ?
