I have a factory order retractable tonneau on my 2021 F-450. From my use of the Ford retractable tonneau, I'd have to say - it's a great product. I also have the factory 5th wheel hitch package and for anybody who is wondering - no issue closing the tonneau cover - even when the hitch is set in the highest position. I purchashed the Rino rack system to fir the T slot in the Ford tonneau cover and it fits perfectly. I carry two 12 ft. kayaks with this set up (using J rack kayak holders) and I have no concerns. One of the things I like about this set up is how quickly you can put the racks on and take them off.
That’s awesome to hear. Any trouble with the reliability of the retractable cover? I was looking at the Retrax and maybe the Overhaul HD from Yakima. I’ll have to check out the Rhino racks.

Thanks brother! Appreciate the links!

Hey man, don't have an answer to your specific question but I was curious what hard tonneau covers you have been looking at that are compatible with the Overhaul HD system? I've been trying to find a quality combination that would allow the tonneau to always be on and then I can add/remove the kayak racks as needed.

Anybody using a Bakflip MX4 hard folding tonneau with the Adarac Pro Series Aluminum Ladder Rack?
Live in the rainy PNW so like to keep a tonneau on all the time but would love to be able to throw the kayaks on top while pulling the travel trailer. Any other systems that are working well for people?

Anybody with any recommendations for a rooftop cargo rack? There are a few in the $200 range on Amazon that are 64” long but having a tough time finding pictures on an Expedition.

2021 F-150 - VIN 1FTFW1ED6MFC64465
Was ordered on 06/25 and delivered to the dealership on 10/08.
Thanks so much for the help. Because of this, I was able to call and talk with the general manager of the dealership and find out that the truck was never ordered in the first place. I now have my confirmation email from Ford and he sent me the odder sheet. Really appreciate your time!

Order numbers are 4 digits, not 5. So at this point I'm just guessing.
There is an 0777 order from 06/25/2021 and there is an 0778 order which is probably not yours because it was already delivered.
Sorry, you’re so right. Fat fingered it. Actually, 0777 is my Limited I originally ordered in June that has been stagnate so 0778 was a new build I ordered and haven’t heard anything about. Now I’m really worried that my dealer is going to sell it out from under me. Do you happen to be able to see a vin for 0778? I need to call them ASAP, unfortunately I’m in the hospital working all day. Thanks for your help!

Still driving it but 2018 F150, super crew, 5.0 coyote. Maybe someday I’ll have a build and I can trade it in. Maybe.

Agreed!!! more than you know. LOL
Me...pushed 6-7 days a week always (right now 7 days for 6 weeks), work late 2-3 out of those 6-7. Kids growing up while I am at work, wife feels neglected, 500 projects to so at the house finish 1 start 2 more, dad just died, no time to help mom, barn roof leaking like Swiss cheese, training a puppy with the IQ equivalent of a walnut. Arghhhh.. Yup, me...first world middle class problems.?
So...I ordered a new truck which I am really really excited about getting?
Keep killin it brother!

Lol....more first world problems...
They really are. But you know what, for some of us, this is a community of people we feel open sharing frustration with, because we think they will understand, maybe share a moment with us, and allow us to escape. Then we leave here and go back to our very serious lives where we spend all day thinking about saving lives, defending lives, building infrastructure, whatever. Yeah, tomorrow when I step back into the clinic it’s back to real life problems and death, but for today, I’m gonna read about all your new builds and bitch about mine being delayed just a bit.

So if we ordered a limited we may never see our truck, wow.
Yeah, that’s pretty messed up. Come on Ford. Im literally trying to give you almost $100k and you’re making it very difficult.

Are any Limited trim being scheduled? Adaptive steering is standard so we don’t have the ability to remove it to get things moving.

I've never heard of the Carhartt ones before! They look pretty awesome. Are yours the precision fit kind?
I think they are. Got them a few years back. Fit great. Easy to vacuum dog hair and crumbs off of. Even had one kid puke on them and the leather underneath was untouched. Quick spray and wash and they were good as new.

I’ve been really happy with my Carhartt cordura covers for my back seat of my 150. Plan to buy the same if my 350 ever gets built.

Twin turbo’d Godzilla!! Now that’s a party!

I have the factory spray-in on my F150 and have been very impressed with it. Holding up well, quality application, no problems.

Someone on Fb just posted that they got a call from their dealer GM today who said that Adaptive Steering would not be selected for build at all anymore. Anyone seeing or hearing anything similar? What would they do with Limited trim where it’s standard? Hopefully not let my build sit in limbo forever.

I love what Rivian is doing with the modular components. They’re going to really appeal to a lot of weekend outdoor enthusiasts. The camp kitchen module was brilliantly done.

The only possible logical reason would be to get trucks sitting on dealer lots instead of the speedway. Gives something for buyers to at least look at and helps bring bodies in the door.

The Explorer didn’t have enough cargo space and I really wanted that ecoboost (up-tuned on the Platinum). Couldn’t be happier. Thing is a rocket!

Not yet. I keep eyeing the VIOFO A119. Seems that brand over the years has consistently been on the charts. I just seem to always another project that takes priority.
The only thing I've concluded is it's better to have one camera unit up front, and one out back. Seems those dual camera units are sometimes hard to get a cable to the back, if you want rear camera at all.
Awesome, thanks for the help!
So what happens if you order the Limited trim level?
