Hi sagosto. If it was actually sent by your Lincoln Dealer, then the answer is what akirby stated.

Use the sites that have been recommended to you by myself and others to price shop, compare and purchase an actual Lincoln Protect Plan.

Also keep in mind: If that is the case, they have been dishonest with you twice. First, misrepresenting an aftermarket ESP as being a Lincoln Protect ESP Plan. Ans second misrepresenting what they are selling as "...the same as the existing warranty and extended...from 4/50 to 8/100.", when it is not and does not.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Thanks for all the helpful info. The quote above for Lincoln maintenance plan was from Ziegler's online site which is about 50% less than the 3rd party one offered by my dealer:

Coverage Details Portfolio VSC - NEW (PSL01141) - Plan B Exclusionary 96 Months Term 100,000 Mileage 100.00 Deductible $2,960.00 Price

I will check out the dealers above and call a few local dealers but they will always low ball. :) As mentioned above, $0 deductible ($50?) seems to be the best deal given the price increase is paid for with a single visit. With that said, I have the Grand Touring and I didn't notice any option to select by trim so I assumed it doesn't matter. Lastly, I drive about 10K miles per year so I will skip maintenance for the reasons you mentioned.

Hi sagosto. There are many existing threads about this, so I will suggest you go here: https://www.zeiglerfordesp.com/tools/articles.aspx?article=New_Used_Cpo_Lincoln_Protect

    And here: https://www.floodfordesp.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrNWV_Yz38QIVD4bICh2MKAebEAAYASAAEgKIEfD_BwE

You can work up the prices online or call them.

Work up apples to apples LincolnProtect ESP Plans and LincolCare Maintenance Plans, for the same coverage you are being offered by your Dealer. What I can tell you is I have extensively shopped both my local Lincoln/Ford Dealers and online for my last 4 Lincolns, and Zeigler consistently offered the lowest prices. Flood Ford was always next lowest.

You do not need to purchase the ESP or Maintenance Plans from your Lincoln Dealer. And you can find many other online Lincoln/Ford Dealers that offer online sales by simply Googling "online Lincoln ESP sellers".

Be sure you work up apples to apples comparisons for the coverage and coverage limits you need. For example, no need to pay for 8years/100,000 miles if you will not drive 100,000 mile in 8 years or sell your cars every 5 years. Yes, you can offer it as an incentive to the next buyer, but only if you sell privately> And you still will not get back what you paid. So get a Lincoln Protect Plan with the the mileage and number of years you need.

Let us know how you make  out and good luck.

Fantastic info. It is odd that the Lincoln Dealer didn't offer LincolnProtect? They did say it is the same as the existing warranty and extended to from 4/50 to 8/100. For Zeigler, the 8/100 on the most expensive PremiumCare is $1,640 vs. $2,960 for the dealer's 3rd party. I have to go through the maintenance schedule to see if it's worth it.

    8 100,000 PC8100D2 $3,065 / $1,640
  3. I typically never consider extended warranty for a new car but Aviator quality is a mixed bag right now ;)

The dealer sent me a document with limited details so curious if anyone heard of it:

Coverage Details Portfolio VSC - NEW (PSL01141) - Plan B Exclusionary 96 Months Term 100,000 Mileage 100.00 Deductible $2,960.00 Price

Coverage Details REVBUNF - Axiom Revolution Bundle - Pro R2 $1,746 (I THINK 7 years)

Prepaid Maintenance 36 Months Term 40,000 Miles Mileage $485.00

All scheduled maintenance services as required by the manufacturer that are listed in the vehicle manual. Commonly includes Oil changes, Filters, Belts, plugs, øuids, etc.

  4. I am looking for rear seat entertainment options but there doesn't seem to be any options to mount anything to the seat back headrest area. Traditional headrest have a way to mount tablets/etc. but these seats don't seem to have an easy way to do that. You could use a rear seat organizer that ties against the seat such as https://www.amazon.com/PALMOO-Leather-Organizer-Universal-Backseat/dp/B072QSWL8C but that seems flimsy.

My Aviator was supposed to come with the OEM Lincoln liners but for some reason dealer misplaced them at time of delivery and didn't have any more in stock so they ordered me a complimentary full set of Weathertechs.  A week later they found my OEM liners and gave them to me as well, so I actually have both sets.  I have always liked Weathertechs and would normally not put anything else in a car, but having now had both sets I agree with CoolScoop the Lincoln ones are better.  If anyone that wants to see the difference see the photos below.

The main advantage of the OEM liners is the driver side mat, which extends down about 4" below the seat rail to nicely protect the carpeting right beside the door sill which in my experience always gets hit with salt stains in the winter from snow and other crap on your boots.  The OEM liner also comes up higher a couple inches to protect the driver's footrest.  See the photo below to see a comparison with the WT placed on top of the OEM liner.

As for the cargo area, I give advantage to WT vs OEM.  The WT cargo liner has much larger lip at the perimeter to protect against spills and mine also covers the 3rd row seat which is a bonus because I hardly use them.  (see photos below)  I'm sure you can get a bigger OEM cargo liner to cover the 3rd row as well but if it is the same design as the smaller one, I still say WT cargo liner is better.

Do either WT or OEM fold to allow use of when 3rd row is up/down?

Other mfrs didn’t have a chip factory fire,  Ford can’t give a date at this point so what you’re getting is just each dealer’s guess,  If you want a date then I’d say expect to wait 6 months.

    Spoke to a sales manager/associate at #1 above and it's 4 months for a 2022. So, another date. :)

They can’t give you dates that they don’t know.  If you try to order furniture or appliances they tell you to expect at least a 6 month wait.  They have to prioritize whatever chips they do get.

Other manufacturers are able to give dates. But the real issue is the different 'date' depending on who I talk to.

Specced out a '22 vehicle as close as could be done on the build and price to our '21Aviator II monochrome and it came out over $2.000 more.   The '22 with all the packages needed to make an equipment match did include phone-as-key, heads-up display and wireless phone charger which probably accounts for the increase.

You have the 202a package correct? Phone-as-key, heads-up-display, and wireless phone charger are including in the 21 202a package but free on the Reserve I believe. But, yes, re-adding those packages is a $2K increase give or take. I am having a hard time finding a 21 but a 22 w/ $2K increase probably nets out given the MY increase unless you are leasing.

Not sure about price but the 22 does get wireless charging and led fog lamps standard now.

And, the base price was lowered. But, if you re-create the popular 202a package (luxury, illuminations, tow, etc.), the price jumps $1300 give or take. There's several popular sites as CarAndDriver that mentions the lower base price but that's all it is.

  10. The Aviator's Adaptive Suspension is confusing. The salesman said it comes standard on every Aviator. Per https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/67720-adaptive-suspension-vs-adaptive-suspension-with-road-preview/, this appears to be just the stock springs. The test car I drove had this and was extremely smooth. However, a thread on LincolnForums (https://lincolnforums.com/forums/threads/aviator-optional-dynamic-air-suspension-satisfaction-poll.39866/) gives the impression this hurts the ride rather than help it. Is there a more consensus on this feature? Is the Adaptive suspension w/ road preview an upgrade over coil springs to air springs with automated adjustments via camera? What's the Air-Glide suspension?
