  1. It's sad that it takes Lincoln/Ford months to fix a temperature display problem.
  2. I decided to get quotes from some of the big 3rd party. Bad idea. Non-stop calls and telling me how Lincoln doesn't cover fair market labor rate and you will pay tons out of pocket. Blah blah.
  3. Specifically, is there an easy way to route the wires down the set towards center console for power?
  4. Thanks for all the helpful info. The quote above for Lincoln maintenance plan was from Ziegler's online site which is about 50% less than the 3rd party one offered by my dealer: Coverage Details Portfolio VSC - NEW (PSL01141) - Plan B Exclusionary 96 Months Term 100,000 Mileage 100.00 Deductible $2,960.00 Price I will check out the dealers above and call a few local dealers but they will always low ball. As mentioned above, $0 deductible ($50?) seems to be the best deal given the price increase is paid for with a single visit. With that said, I have the Grand Touring and I didn't notice any option to select by trim so I assumed it doesn't matter. Lastly, I drive about 10K miles per year so I will skip maintenance for the reasons you mentioned.
  5. That was sent from the dealer which makes me wonder why they are not using the manufacturers programs
  6. Fantastic info. It is odd that the Lincoln Dealer didn't offer LincolnProtect? They did say it is the same as the existing warranty and extended to from 4/50 to 8/100. For Zeigler, the 8/100 on the most expensive PremiumCare is $1,640 vs. $2,960 for the dealer's 3rd party. I have to go through the maintenance schedule to see if it's worth it. 8 100,000 PC8100D2 $3,065 / $1,640
  7. I typically never consider extended warranty for a new car but Aviator quality is a mixed bag right now The dealer sent me a document with limited details so curious if anyone heard of it: Coverage Details Portfolio VSC - NEW (PSL01141) - Plan B Exclusionary 96 Months Term 100,000 Mileage 100.00 Deductible $2,960.00 Price Coverage Details REVBUNF - Axiom Revolution Bundle - Pro R2 $1,746 (I THINK 7 years) Prepaid Maintenance 36 Months Term 40,000 Miles Mileage $485.00 All scheduled maintenance services as required by the manufacturer that are listed in the vehicle manual. Commonly includes Oil changes, Filters, Belts, plugs, øuids, etc.
  8. I am looking for rear seat entertainment options but there doesn't seem to be any options to mount anything to the seat back headrest area. Traditional headrest have a way to mount tablets/etc. but these seats don't seem to have an easy way to do that. You could use a rear seat organizer that ties against the seat such as https://www.amazon.com/PALMOO-Leather-Organizer-Universal-Backseat/dp/B072QSWL8C but that seems flimsy.
  9. Is there an easy way to hardwire a radar detector w/o running wire down the roof to a fuse panel? I am guessing a 12V switch and a ground so that the radar turns on when ignition is ON and automatically turns off when ignition is turned off.
  10. Do either WT or OEM fold to allow use of when 3rd row is up/down?
  11. There are 2 OEM cargo mats. The majority of the time the 3rd row will be down but what happens when we need to use the 3rd row. Does Lincoln expect us to put the mat on the roof? Cargo Mat (For area behind second row) https://www.levittownfordparts.com/sku/lc5z-7811600-ba.html Cargo Mat (For area behind the third row) https://www.levittownfordparts.com/sku/lc5z-7811600-aa.html
  12. I drove the BL w/ 22", Reserve w/ 22", and GT w/ 21" and dynamic suspension and I couldn't find much difference (if any).
  13. Spoke to a sales manager/associate at #1 above and it's 4 months for a 2022. So, another date.
  14. Other manufacturers are able to give dates. But the real issue is the different 'date' depending on who I talk to.
  15. Because Lincoln lowered all trims minus BL. Lastly, $2K is literally 20% increase on the cost of the options. Maybe they want to increase to Hertz?
  16. You have the 202a package correct? Phone-as-key, heads-up-display, and wireless phone charger are including in the 21 202a package but free on the Reserve I believe. But, yes, re-adding those packages is a $2K increase give or take. I am having a hard time finding a 21 but a 22 w/ $2K increase probably nets out given the MY increase unless you are leasing.
  17. And, the base price was lowered. But, if you re-create the popular 202a package (luxury, illuminations, tow, etc.), the price jumps $1300 give or take. There's several popular sites as CarAndDriver that mentions the lower base price but that's all it is.
  18. I've spoken to 3 dealers in North Jersey/NYC area. 1) No Aviator production at all due to chip shortage 2) Sep/Oct timeframe 3) Oct/Nov timeframe I am not sure how they expect to make sales if they can't even give a date. Lastly, dealer #1 said Lincoln is covering the 1st payment but wasn't real clear on conditions.
  19. It appears the 202A equipment group is gone. If you re-create the package using Reserve 1, Illuminations, Luxury, Tow, etc. the price jumps like $1300 even though the base MSRP is lower. Is that correct?
  20. The Aviator's Adaptive Suspension is confusing. The salesman said it comes standard on every Aviator. Per https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/67720-adaptive-suspension-vs-adaptive-suspension-with-road-preview/, this appears to be just the stock springs. The test car I drove had this and was extremely smooth. However, a thread on LincolnForums (https://lincolnforums.com/forums/threads/aviator-optional-dynamic-air-suspension-satisfaction-poll.39866/) gives the impression this hurts the ride rather than help it. Is there a more consensus on this feature? Is the Adaptive suspension w/ road preview an upgrade over coil springs to air springs with automated adjustments via camera? What's the Air-Glide suspension?
  21. Do the delivery dates change by dealer? How do I know the dealer isn't fibbing?
