How hard was it?  What did you trim it with?  Is there a contour line on it to follow?

There are several tutorials out there in random forums, but I just taped it off and used a Dremel. Go slowly or it will melt. I saw a loss of about 1mpg so I wouldn't do it again.

In the interest of expectation management this is my timeline so far.   Just got an email this evening with a scheduled production date for week of 2 August.   Ordered on 11 June F350 Lariat, 6.7, Black Appearance package, Tremor, Antimatter Blue

This is interesting to see! Curious as to why I haven't received a similar email even though I've been in production since the 7th. Good deal for you!

Does the Priority number have any weight or meaning these days with the chip shortage and other commodity issues I've been reading about? My 2022 F-250 Lariat Ultimate order was confirmed via email on 3/26/2021. Today, the GM at my dealership wasn't able to give me any information on my order other than that their Ford rep upped my priority from 10 to 1. Then I received another email from Ford saying that my order is confirmed. This chip shortage has sure made things interesting!

10 to 1...Wish I had your luck! Fingers crossed for no chip issues.

My current truck is Blue Jean Metallic and I teach physics and chemistry so I was really excited about the Antimatter Blue, until I saw it in person.  Unless it is in full sun it just looks black to me and that was too dark.  Then I switched to Lithium Gray - until I found out that they discontinued it for 2022.  Ended up with Atlas Blue.

I'm with you on this. Blue Jean Metallic was executed much better!

  5. For anyone commenting I hope you have driven both the 7.3 and the 6.7! After being a long time diesel guy who admittedly doesn't tow often but need the bed length, I have to say the weight savings of the 7.3 is great. Much lighter to maneuver around as a DD and the ride isn't so springy. Power comparison unladen is Lighter weight with less TQ = heavier weight with more TQ. Just one opinion, but I won't be going back.

  6. Just spoke with marketing and she was very helpful. I ordered on 1 April 2021...Build date of 26 July, then 19 July, then 21 July...went into production status on 7 July. She thought it would show as built any day now. At least I can hope so.

Window sticker update.  So none of us seem to be getting email updates or our window stickers for those (in production)... called marketing and simply asked the young lady if she could email my copy to me as I wasn't getting updates from Ford.

Bingo, she came back and said no problem and will be sending it out.  My build day is today and this was a good test to see if things are really moving forward.  (22' 7.3 Lariat Crewcab dually 4x4)

That's great! I'm in a similar situation. I'll give them a call today.
