Drop the tailgate, pull out the step, climb up. Bend down, pick it up, move it to the tailgate. Climb down. Put up step. Take item off tailgate, shut tailgate.VS
Open door. Take out item. Close door.
Yeah, completely useless. Geez……
I do agree the handle looks horrible.
Yes - that works assuming the item you're reaching for is still at the back of the bed and has not slid to the front of the bed. OR - you assume someone has really long arms and can reach all the way in.
Also, it doesn't take much effort to "CLICK" that button on the remote to "Drop" the tailgate - but that's just my opinion...

No purpose what so ever in my opinion.
You can't have open while driving down the road... if you do, imagine the damage from a swinging gate. Why the extra handle (afterthought) - with all the tech, they could just place another button in the "normal" release area to open that gate.
More shit to go wrong for no real purpose.
You have a tailgate step, use it and you can reach anywhere in the bed you'd like.
Looks like a left over bronco rear gate...
Just my 2¢

Don't worry - the patience runs lower and lower the closer your rig is to you. Mine arrived at the final rail yard (6 days ago) 64 miles from me and 45 miles from my dealer on 1/5 @ approx 2am in the morning. Now to get that loaded on a truck and down here! Slowly, slowly, slowly, but surely...

Plenty of aftermarket setups which can be installed. Look at the B&W turnover ball
Yes they can - but not for $500 and not with the 3 year warranty.

Yours has been moving. It just got changed to a different rail company which is why tracking probably stopped. It arrived in Cottage Grove on the 5th at 1:45AM, so it should be on a truck to the dealer any day now.
That's awesome to hear! Thank you!

Maybe. It may have already Left and the VVR did not update. Mine was showing "arrived" in Illinois until it updated to "arrived" in Vancouver, BC(2200 miles away). Never got a Departure scan or any intermediate ones.
This gives me a little hope. My rig has been sitting in Chicago since noon on 1/2/22. Maybe it's in transit without it not updating.

The shipping us unpredictable and all depends where your dealer is. Mine sat at the railyard for 6 days before it made its last leg of the journey to the dealer via truck carrier. There's a good chance you will get it before the end of the year unless you live really far from the plant
Mine should be moving up to Cottage Grove, MN (CA2P) before coming down by truck. It's been in Chicago, Il since 1/02/22. (As of today) - I'm getting a notion that it is normal to sit for quite a few days like this.

@22KRTremor - WRONG. You missed the whole point where the anger comes from and where people ARE indeed stalking the yards and taking pictures trying to find their vehicles in the yards. See link listed above.
Furthermore - This has gone on too long and none of this discussion belongs in here, is a rule and is why I have rules. Any an all discussion that takes place in a tracking thread is between me and the person who wants the tracking done. All other discussion must be done elsewhere in the forum or within PMs. When a tracking thread gets bumped by extraneous posts not related to tracking it takes up my time that I could be looking up someone else's vehicle.
@HRG - I'm not mad with you or anything, we're fine. It's not like those were your pictures.
Understood - my apologies - new to forum and not aware of your capacities. I would agree with you 100%.

That is taking it too far if you ask me. Those rail yards have enough going on and are suffering like the rest of the supply-chain industry with cutbacks, labor-shortages, COVID restrictions, fuel price hikes, larger tariffs, etc. etc. and don't need a bunch of rabid idiots that can't wait patiently for their vehicles mucking the whole works up for everyone else. Seeing that enrages me to no end.
These "Rabid Idiots" are just dialing an AUTOMATED phone number telling them where the car is at currently. Not one single person is being contacted. The automated phonemail has NOTHING to do with any of your reasons listed.
I call it to find out if my railcar has left Chicago yet. It's been there for a bit and just checking up on it. To me it's fun to call the system and hear where it's at. Not bothering a sole. Not hurting anyone. There's zero reason why an automated phone call should be "enraging" you. Life's too short.

Has nothing to do with my question. But thanks and already knew that.
You stated: "...or now not being scheduled at all from this point on." So, yes, it had something to do directly to your question.

The 37 Package will now have a black interior option. Ricaro Blue Suede Seats will be a separate option is my understanding

I talked to the dealer this afternoon and he said it shipped and gave me the Railcar number. I would like to be able to track it myself but I don’t know that’s I can or how.
Thank you, you’re updates have been very helpful! What's your railcar #?
-
- Are the dealers the only one that has access to my railcar number once shipped?

It's too early! If they follow the usual timing, the 2023 Super Duty Order Guide will be released in mid-March when the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) will probably open.
It'll be nice when they update the F150 Build and Price for '22 MY as well.

I just got my built email this morning estimated to arrive between 12/30 and 01/05…There is hope that things are moving along
Nice to hear!
Mine is still showing "In Production" and "Estimated Delivery" of 12/31/01 - Hmmm.Dealer emailed and told me that there is a hold on the truck now. Why "SCHEDULE" if you don't have the parts to complete it? I received the "SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION" email on October 14th... ?
Disappointing for sure. I've had VIN since middle of October and Window Sticker since 12/03. So VIN & WS don't mean much I'm learning.
Someday...

I don't have tracking access to other dealerships' orders so I can't verify your actual vehicle status in the Vehicle Visibility reporting system. The ETA's for vehicle delivery to the dealership are updated in the Vehicle Visibility system based on the latest vehicle status. I can't verify what your vehicle status is... in production, produced, etc. and I'm not going to speculate. It's not uncommon for vehicles to show "in production" status for a week or longer. If it's not produced, released for shipping and loaded on a rail car when the plant shuts down, it's most likely going to sit at the plant until plant operations resume. I have no idea whether Ford is going to be shipping vehicles during the extended shut down period.
The most reliable source for vehicle status information is the Vehicle Visibility reporting system. From what I've seen, Information sent to customers via e-mail is not always up to date.
Thank you.

I'd wait until you have confirmation that your vehicle has been built and/or shipped. The average shipping time is 14 days plus any delays at the final rail destination before the car carrier firm dispatches the vehicle to be loaded on a carrier for delivery.

So, to confirm, disregard the "ESTIMATED DELIVERY" date?
My truck was "In Production" on 12/11 and is still in same status. My "Estimated Delivery" was moved up from 01/04 to 12/31/21. With 10 days to go including Christmas - I'm guessing that WON'T happen?

Same boat - 12/11 "In Production" and "Estimated Deliver" 12/31/2021. No emails yet stating it's been built however Dealer VVR has show it built and sent off site about a week and a half ago. That's the latest and greatest info I have.

Ford Tracker is down a lot - I use this one: https://seg.fyi/mache-vin/#/details Enter VIN and Order #. Then click "WINDOW STICKER" - Hopefully that works for you.

I messaged my dealer and that is what I am going to do.
Did they give you a credit?
Did the dealer send it to LineX to have it done?
Is that Ford Oval stamped in the box or is it something that is applied when done at factory?
Thanks for your advice!!!
The dealer changed the build and it's not on my Window Sticker. I'll just pay for it out of pocket when it comes in.
I personally know the Line-X guy and will have him take care of the truck.
I cannot speak to the "FORD" Oval. If it's not stamped on the bed already, Line-X will not have it there either. Just my 2¢- 1

Do we have information on when Build & Price will go live for the '22 MY Raptor - Not necessarily the "R"...

Tremor package includes the spray in bedliner
Lariat is the lowest trim level to get the Tremor package
Tremor package is springs, shocks, and tires not sure what would be so difficult to build a Lariat with Tremor package. Plus I like the way Ford does the spray in liner
with the embossed Ford logo at the front of the box. What problems are they having with the spray in liner? I find it hard to believe in the last 6 months they have not sold any trucks without it.
To clarify - Tremor package does NOT include spray-in liner. The "Black Appearance Package" available on the Lariat trim does though.
I removed mine (King Ranch) and will have it Line-X'd. Lifetime warranty vs Ford 3-yr. Ford Spray in (From my personal experience is subpar in comparison. it scratches and scrapes of much easier. -
I did but removed from my build. I wanted a half safe as to not lose full function of space in console.

@ice-capades - Learning question:
What's the catch with a vehicle "Scheduled for Production" on 10/14 and finally showing "In Production" since 12/11 - ETA to dealer was 01/04 up to last night. It's now 12/31 but still showing "IN PRODUCTION".
What creates this? Systems not talking to one another? One may not be updating where the other one is?
(SIDE NOTE: KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK YOU DO FOR THESE FORUMS! IT'S VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!)
