My truck is 4 days old and I got rear-ended.  At least it looks like just the bumper with a deep scratch where the right side of the bumper was pushed forward into the rear quarter panel. Tailgate looks ok.
I’ll take it to the dealer for an estimate Monday. Tomball Ford doesn’t have collision repair.

Has anyone in Houston used a Ford collision center that you can either refer to me or steer me away from?

Well I do trust most dealers when it comes to factory incentives because that doesn’t come out of their pocket.  And if the dealer doesn’t give you the rebate (back when they did rebates) you would get it directly from Ford.

I agree it would be nice if Ford gave you the Smart Vincent info on your order.  But again this has never been a big issue so it wasn’t necessary.

What I would like to see (and what I expect to see for BEVs) is for Ford to track your order including price and incentives.  Either they do MSRP or the dealer is required to enter the selling price with the order.  They can charge whatever they want but it gets documented up front so they can’t change it on a whim 12 months later and they can’t add any extra fees or add-ons without buyer consent.

Agreed. There has to be some accountability somewhere in the process. The past few years have been very educational for vehicle consumers who bothered to do their research.

Well folks, the truck in in MY driveway just two weeks short of eight months from order.  It took as long to get from Kentucky to Salt Lake City, Utah as it did to go the final mile and a half to the dealer.  Makes no sense other than there is a shortage of car haulers and trucks to get the job done.  My salesman said they have received permission from Ford in a few cases to go to the rail yard and drive them back to the dealer.  The truck is better than I imagined.  We got to drive it two days before we closed.  Put a whole two miles on it.

Sales close was super easy.  I reminded them that the truck was ordered before two price increases so they calculated it initially on the current MSRP, not the one last February.  Then they forgot to credit my $2000 down payment.  Easy fix.  No upsales or add-ons.  No advertising fees or fees of any kind.  Just the $5000 of state sales tax (no surprise but ouch).  The truck was sparkly clean and had a full tank of gas.  The sales person walked me out to the truck and we activated the Ford Pass and ran through the most common switches, settings, etc.

We started putting miles on it to get to the 1000 miles recommended for towing and this truck will not make the hunting seasons this year.  I think a son is going to take my 1999 Dodge Ram Cummins truck (I hope he does as there is mothing wrong with it).  My driveway looks like a RV, Marine, and car lot right now.  I have spent some time watching the YouTube videos on the Synch 4 system but so much to learn.  Next steps are a BedRug box liner (look into it - I have had one for 23 years in my Dodge), a Renegade bed cover (also recommend this), some floor mats that will catch the mud, some towing soft shackles, and then start moving stuff from the Dodge over to the new truck.

I had a concern that the spare was on an 18" wheel and the rolling stock has 20" wheels.  The 18" wheel is a taller tire and makes up for the smaller wheel BUT it doesn't have the same load carrying capacity.  I am not worried.  I haven't had to change a tire yet on my Dodge.

Here are two quick pictures I took.  Hang in there folks.  You will know very soon if your truck will be built this year.

The VVR  is showing released, awaiting shipping since April 14.  There have been no updates since that entry. Rail carrier delay for well over 5 months now.

Unbelievable Big Jon.. Mine was built on July 21 and has been in transit for 54 days now. According to the VVR, it's released and sitting at ramp 8P in Shelbyville, KY.

No comparison to your wait, but still very frustrating.

No, the load number is just a tracking type number.  If you are registered on the site, you will get an email every time any load leaves the rail yard to your dealer.  Once I received that email, I was able to follow the truck on the site on a map in near realtime.

Can you post a link to the site?

How do you get ship dates?  When I got the truck built email it said it should arrive at the dealer from 9/12-18 but no ship dates.  Right now it hasn't shipped so the estimate from Ford is looking not too likely.

I think we are talking about the same thing.. estimated ship/delivery dates.

My truck was built 21 July and is still waiting to ship. When I login to Ford to view the status, the window sticker is no longer available. Anyone else experience this?

I have the same build date, but my window sticker is still showing. Got another push today on my estimated delivery date.

Looks like some 2022 super dutys stored at Kentucky speedway like the 21's last year

    From the article:

"This time, they're being driven to the speedway rather than delivered on a car hauler. If that's indeed the case, it's a 50-mile trip one way that will reflect on each truck's odometer."

    Good morning Gents,

It was a long wait but after 300 days to the day I took delivery a week ago. I have a lot of extra's planned for the truck but the lift is done. It still has the chrome delete wrap and paint match left. All new Recon marker lights. Tonneau cover and tint tomorrow. I thought I a few of you might enjoy seeing it so far. I have enjoyed seeing the pictures of other guys trucks on here.

Truck was scheduled for production the week of 27 June. My dealer said it actually started 23 June. Apparently it didn’t make it out before the summer break/ shutdown. It still shows it’s still in production  and when I stopped by the dealer today, they said it still shows in production with no holds.  Anyone else have a similar experience?

Unrelated question (sorry for asking here, not getting any answers on other threads), does anyone know what type or part number for the door panel clips? I need to remove door panels to install Jimmi Jammers but want to have some spare clips on hand before I start.

I had a June 13th production date, pushed to June 27th. I was hoping to have my build completed before the shutdown, but I haven't heard anything. Tracker says in production.

As posted previously in the Plant Scheduled Down Weeks (https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/72412-plant-scheduled-down-weeks/), the Kentucky Truck Plant (KTP) will be down the weeks of July 4th & 11th for its annual 2-week shutdown.

@ice-capades If someone has a build week of June 27th, do you think the truck will be built in a week? How long does it take to build one of these trucks?

Went in to see the Sales Manger on Friday and he verified that my truck does indeed have the Tremor step bars and not the Powered Steps that I requested with the salesman.  The order sheet does not show either so I am not sure how I was supposed to verify that option.  With the VIN already assigned it is too late to correct anything and I have a build date of 7/18.  He was stating 5 week delivery for the end of August if everything goes perfect.  So now I am thinking, it might be best to walk away from this truck, wait a month and order MY 2023 and get the truck I want with all of the options I want and hopefully the MC Seats.  Then he said I lost price protection when I removed the spray in, fifth wheel prep, and tonneau cover based on the salesman's recommendation.  I told him I didn't change the engine type or trim package so I should still be covered. Got the shoulder shrug and the comment that he would check on it.  If I do go the 2023 route I will be looking for a new dealership for sure!

If anyone has any suggestions I am looking for ideas on this.

I noticed the same thing on my order. I specified power running boards when I ordered my F250 Platinum Tremor. Low and behold, when I got my VIN, the order was showing fixed running boards. I spoke to my dealer who then told me that power running boards were not available for the Tremor package. I called Ford to verify that they were an option, then called the dealer again to push harder, telling him to get it fixed.

The Ford rep happened to be making a visit the next day and he/she sorted it out for me. My order is now showing power running boards again. Scheduled build week is June 27th.

Let's just say that it's more than difficult to believe that Keller Ford isn't aware of the issues with the Mutli-Contour Seats availability. Multiple updates for the affected models and the subsequent updates have all been posted prominently on the FMCDealer.com portal home page that Dealers use to access all Ford communications, WBDO, CONCEPS, Vehicle Visibility, Vehicle Locator, Window Stickers, Vehicle Invoices, SMART Vincent, etc.

My dealer also knew nothing of the MC seat delete.. really is remarkable how clueless some of these folks are.

Not happy to hear we will not be getting the multi-contour seats.  Ordered August 23 - King Ranch with Ultimate, chrome package, upfitter switches, adaptive steering and cruise, 5th wheel prep and spray in bed liner.  Wasn't willing to delete anything to get the truck sooner because I have a 19 KR equipped the same way. Still not scheduled.  I am considering taking the truck and keeping the 19 which has been flawless for 80,000 miles. The 22's are going for $10-15k over sticker on Auto Trader.  Why let the dealer keep the truck and make a huge profit on it.  I may sell it myself.

You make an excellent point sir!

    SUMMARY
The automotive industry continues to be confronted by supply chain shortages of a wide variety of components used to manufacture Ford vehicles. As a way for customers to get their Super Duty trucks sooner, Ford has implemented the following product offering change process.

Customers purchasing a Super Duty Limited, Platinum, or King Ranch Ultimate Package with Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion® Removal must sign the linked customer acknowledgement form to acknowledge their understanding that the vehicle is not equipped with the feature identified and they will not be charged for the feature.

Does this include the three-way lumbar support too? I just received my in production email last Thursday (scheduled for the week of June 13th). Other than the fact that I need the seats as ordered, this will reduce resale value of my Platinum package for the future.

If this idiocy holds true, I may let them mark my retail order up and sell it to someone else. This is BS and a horrible move by FOMOCO. I can keep my 2018 F350 Platty that has all of the MY22 constraints and be just fine..
