I have one for $3000 that expires 4/4.  My F350 is scheduled to be built the week of 3/28 so I'm hoping it goes into production in time to use it!

Edited to add that my dealership said they can't apply it until I have a window sticker/invoice.

So I got some clarification from the dealer.  Apparently, according to them,  you have to have an active PCO when the order is placed OR when vehicle is delivered.  I have had two PCOs while waiting for my truck.  My order was placed 10/4.  First PCO was valid 10/5/21 - 1/4/22 (yes, literally missed by one day).  Second PCO is valid 1/4/22 - 4/4/22.  So, with my truck scheduled to be built next week, my second PCO will be expired by the time the truck is delivered.  Doubt I’LL be lucky enough to have a third by delivery.  That said, I’ll call the ford marketing number and ask them to extend.  I fully expect them to direct me back to the dealer.  Dealer said when truck is delivered they can ask their ford regional guy to extend but no promises.

Was sort of counting on this $3k…hard to believe that the order/build/delivery process has been so long that I miss a 6 month window of PCOs.

Was the Bakflip om a long bed? I thought you could fold to the last panel and latch to clear the hitch without it propped against the rear window.

If this question was for me, I had the Bakflip on a long bed F150...didn't tow a 5th wheel with that but I hated the BAK flip.  When I was towing a travel trailer, I had a bike rack that sat in the bed of that F150 which was great but I hated not being able to see out the back window so I would take the Bakflip off and on - never again.  The Revolver (rollup style) is perfect for me, and it'll be one of the first things I get when my '22 comes in.

  3. Hi all…just checking in.  I have a 22 F350 on order and have had many Fords.  My daily driver is a 2017 Ford Fusion Energi!  Looking forward to the new truck!

  4. How do you know when the Energi batteries are starting to lose efficiency?  I know they’re not as efficient in the cold, but it seems like they’re hardly charging and that the little bit of charge doesn’t last.  I have 60,000 miles on it.  Is there a diagnostic that can be run?

I’ve heard the ford factory ones operate more smoothly. Also you get the warranty directly from for for 3 years so glad went that route as well

Agreed!  It’s a silver lining to dropping the black appearance package to get built sooner….I switched to sport tremor with power running boards.  Super excited and am struggling to remain patient!

A great big Thank You! to the kind Ford employees running and maintaining the Blue Oval Forums. You were a huge help with providing information about the build process, tracking my build, and just managing my anxiety levels over the past few months.

I ordered my 2022 F-250 Lariat, Crew Cab, Antimatter Blue, 4x4, Short Bed in March 2021; removed Adaptive Steering in July 2021, and picked it up in October 2021. Since delivery, I've added a Retrax Tonneau Cover, Duramax Mud Flaps, WeatherTech Floor Liners, and replaced the antenna. I am extremely happy with the truck and looking forward to next season when we'll use "Big Blue" to haul our travel trailer all over the state and beyond.

Here are some pictures. If you are still waiting for yours, hopefully this gives you some hope that your truck will indeed arrive.PXL_20211104_152858578.thumb.jpg.8cfb51211990c2bb359071c68212f5b2.jpgPXL_20211104_153340651.thumb.jpg.71028dfa7fae5d9c802dd212cd8ae9b1.jpgPXL_20211104_153031480.thumb.jpg.3399079505f04e55a2e08f387db40a53.jpgPXL_20211104_152959783.thumb.jpg.5cb34acddba55da1b14d8682bd8970ca.jpgPXL_20211104_152949406.thumb.jpg.8154b26dac2773dfa6c38d94ac89e41f.jpgPXL_20211104_152925585.thumb.jpg.0e54c8238df76aeeddea6c3af71dea65.jpgPXL_20211104_152913315.thumb.jpg.2e8e0a8ea406416ba8e8d9c67403b50b.jpgPXL_20211104_153236702.thumb.jpg.58ba085bea724bf383c3fdf7dad5200f.jpgPXL_20211104_153153656.thumb.jpg.c4e03bccd6341670dcaa9f089b02a5f1.jpgPXL_20211104_153053604.thumb.jpg.ac19ef6fa86b8a0332e4da70e246eb12.jpg

The wait is finally over.  I will be picking up my F350 7.3L SRW Lariat tomorrow. The only commodity restriction I ordered is the 5th wheel prep.  Here is the timeline.

ordered 11/12/21 received confirmation email the same day.
Received production schedule email on 1/13/22, scheduled for week of 2/28/22.

    no pushbacks.

    Built on 3/4/22

    Shipped on  3/11/22 (via truck)

    Delivered to dealer 3/14/22

Sheesh…I’m happy for you but jealous AF!  LOL.  I ordered 10/4, have a build week of 3/28 (pushed back 3 times).  Ugghh…hard to be patient and optimistic.

Saw the below in another forum- just an FYI for an option to the Flood ESP pricing:

While production issues continue on into 2022, we wanted to find another way we as a dealership can add value to the forum. We've made the decision to run a special on Ford Protect Extended Service plans for all forum members (this applies whether you purchased from us or not!).

Starting today we are going to offer Ford Protect Extended Service Plans for $50 over our dealer cost on any Super Duty Truck, whether you purchased it from us or another dealership. This represents a savings on average of $1000-$2000 from other dealerships in-person pricing and a discount from other online Ford Protect retailers as well. We will run this special through the end of April and reasses the volume. After the first initial roll out of this program, we will move our discount to $100 over dealer cost.

How do you get this started?

Please send an email to fordesp@grangermotors.com with the following information:

    Name
    Address
    Phone number
    VIN
    Mileage on Super Duty now
    Coverage desired (years and mileage)

The entire process will be handled seamlessly online by electronic signature and a secure electronic deposit. Your contract will be in force within 2-3 business days of completion of the deposit and electronic signature. Ford's ESP system is nationwide and will update electronically within their system showing your contract status, so you won't need a paper copy of the contract to bring with you, it is tied to your VIN number.

Ford pass points can be used towards the purchase of these contracts as well!

Have another Ford or Lincoln vehicle you'd like to add coverage to? Our pricing will be $100 over dealer cost. This should meet or exceed any other pricing you find online. The process is initiated the same way by emailing fordesp@grangermotors.com with the information above.

This offer is good for anywhere in the U.S. and Canada with the exception of the state of Florida.

Extended warranties are largely for peace of mind; especially given the pricing on these new trucks.  That said, I think pricing from places like Flood and Granger (quoted) are very reasonable.  A couple of other points that may not have been noted on my quick scan are that you can cancel and get a prorated refund (if/when you trade or sell the truck) or if you're not ready to buy the extended warranty when you purchase the truck, you can pick it up down the road within reason (miles/age).

  9. I had a drop in liner on my old F150 and it was 'fine'.  Then I had the spray in factory liner on my next two trucks...worlds better than the drop in liner.  I had absolutely no quality issues on either of the two trucks with spray in liners and was extremely happy with them.  I have no experience to directly compare them to linex or rhino but the factory spray in more than suited my needed.  I would not choose a drop in again.

  10. The BAK Revolver (roll-up type) series most definitely work.  I had this on my F350 dually and had no trouble towing my 5th wheel....not sure if a short bed would cause problems but I doubt it would.  The absolute best part of the roll-up type tonneau cover is the ability to see 'over' it (i.e., out the back window) when open.  I had the bak flip on a previous truck and it was either not open the whole way or stood up against the back window which was maddening.

  11. I think a complicating factor is the number of people that ordered multiple trucks from different dealers in an effort to hedge their bets and hope one gets built sooner.  Many dealers don't seem to be requiring deposits which makes it a no risk option for people placing orders.  Especially considering that the consensus seems to be that dealers don't mind if someone backs out and they get to sell the truck on the lot.
