In Order Processing  - Unscheduled- Clean        Nov-30-2021, 12:41 EST.

If you could let me know if there has been any changes to my status, that would be great.  I was informed last week my priority code was changed to 2 and I have about a week to decide if I am going to buy an interim truck.

    Dealer Code:  F41148

    Order Code:  2352

Thank you for any info Cyberman!

So let’s say you work for a local building material supply and your customer is waiting on Ga Pacific building materials they ordered from you.  Do you expect the customer to get updates from Ga Pacific?  Or do you get updates from Ga Pacific and you give updates to the customer?

Your dealer is the one who should be communicating with you and they should be telling you how many trucks they’ve been getting and where you are in their queue.  Everything g you’re asking for is on the dealer not Ford.

One difference though, if GA Pacific had a track your order service, one would expect some type of updates other than Acknowledge and On the Truck(there isn't any production in the case of lumber).  Even if it wasn't many more steps, some form of communication on their part would improve the customer service component of the process.  If Ford wants all communications going through the Dealers, then do away with the tracking all together, but then they have to get more information to the dealers.  Right now I believe my dealer when he says he has almost no additional information available to him than I do.  Now he may be completely lying, who knows.  Just my thoughts...

  3. As far as tracking goes, the biggest delay period seems to be after acknowledgement until production is scheduled.  There is nothing at all and that is unfortunate because the majority of the wait time is in that window.  I am going on 4.5 months and have zero idea what is happening at all.  Is my truck even in line?  I don't have any idea and that is really bad customer service in my opinion.  I do building materials sales for a living and would get all kinds of grief if a customer of mine had zero idea what is happening.  I would think they could easily make tracking available with dealer number and order number even if it said "In line for parts fulfillment"  it would be something for those of us waiting extended times in the dead space between order and scheduled for production.  Something, anything at all would be helpful.

  4. Anyone have any issues with the 10 speed in the newer(2022) Superdutys?  I traded in a 2020 F450 that had the planetary gear recall done and after that it would upshift and downshift very hard 4-5 and 6-7.  Just wondering if this is an ongoing issue with newer 10 speeds.  Thanks

I sense sarcasm, was just sharing my experience.

I have an iPhone 12 with the defender case and I struggle to find the exact spot where I can reliably charge my phone. I don't have my truck yet, so I haven't tried it. My comment was about my wireless charging experience in general.

I'm (cautiously) optimistic that it'll work

I never had any luck with it working in my previous 2020 F450 with either my iPhone or my Android.  So I guess I don't care either way.  So someone can have my wireless charger if it helps! :)

I live in SW Michigan. When or if I ever get my new truck, I am just going to take a road trip to the Keweenaw Peninsula. It's over a 1000 miles round trip. I will just manually shift between the upper gears to vary the RPM's and stop at every rest stop on the way up. I am already missing spring camping and possibly summer camping. I want to at least do some camping this year. It's going to be a long and slow trip, but I am not going to waste any time getting my 1000 miles.

I love the Keweenaw area!  Been there lots of times and always have a blast.  Just make sure to do a brake check before coming down Brockway Mountain Drive! :)

Your friend was very lucky, or had a real basic F-450, as many F-450 orders from July/Aug/Sept are just being built now. My F-450 KRU was ordered in August and should be built Friday. Hoping for delivery by mid-May.

    Good luck getting scheduled.

When he ordered, he planned on not getting it until sometime Jan-Feb.  He ordered a Lariat Ultimate with the sunroof, no ad steering, no ad cruise, no bed liner, but all other options.  So I guess he got very fortunate.  Oh well I guess I will get mine at some point in the future...

  8. FWIW, my friend that has a 2022 F450 had the brake recall done yesterday.  He doesn't have his trailer to hook up to for confirmation, but the Ford dealer told him it was done.  I guess I will find out in a week as I am going to use his truck to pull my 18k fifth wheel home next Friday.  I better have brakes!

  9. I traded a Rapid Red that I owned for 9 months before the dealer coaxed it away from me with lots of $'s and ordered a new 450 in Rapid Red again.  Except this time I went up to a Platinum.  Had to stay with the boring black interior.  I really wanted to go with the dark marsala interior but the rapid red just won me over too much to go grey or god forbit white to get it.  I have had too many white and gray vehicles over the years.

  10. Thanks akirby and Jflottawa!  I have been told, the only other 450 ordered before me is being delivered in a week or two.  That guy ordered about four weeks before I did.  My hope is mine comes in mid-May so I can put some miles on before a June camping trip.  Fingers crossed it works out that way.  I may still have another conversation with the sales manager to see if they can do anything for me.  Who would have thought things would be this rocky.  My friend ordered a 450 last June 1 and received it Oct 10, but that was from a different dealer.

  11. Are people able to get the brake recall fixed yet?  A friend has a 22 F450 that I am going to borrow to get my fifth wheel home this weekend.  The dealer claims they can do the brake recall on Thursday.  Any possibility we can believe it will be fixed?  Fifth wheel weighs 16.5 k empty and I don't like the idea of "maybe" having brakes especially using a friend's truck...  Anyone have some words of reassurance?

  12. Hello everyone from Poynette Wisconsin!!!  I have been a Ford fan for most of my life and have owned everything from a 67 Mustang when I was 16 to several Expeditions in my family years and a Fusion and Escape for work vehicles.  I most recently, a little over a year ago bought a 2020 F450 to pull a new fifth wheel with.  Absolutely LOVED that truck!  When I was done camping in November, my dealer made me an offer I couldn’t refuse to trade it in and order a new F450 Platinum.  I ordered the end of November and the waiting began.  Looking forward to getting this new dream truck!
