Thanks! I just got off the phone with sales manager and he said it's still in Kansas City. New arrival date is 4/5 to 4/11.

My dealer also sent me screenshots from their VINview system while it was in transit.  After waiting a year and a half, it was a very welcome site to finally "see" something concrete!

I have a more current version of Sync .... SYNC 4, Software Version: 23222_PRODUCT Revision: 966. I wouldn't update if I were you until you can confirm it works with the new version.  I don't have an Android device to test with unfortunately.

This is the same version I have. I hope they restore it in a future update.

I believe the 3 of us have the F350 Platinum and pretty sure they rolled down the line at fairly close to the same time in January (mine arrived at the dealer on 1/18/24).  Although not concrete, you might think the same version would be on all 3 of our trucks being so close together.  Of course that's just a thought as I know well enough things can change one day to another in that regard.  I've had my software updates set to automatic and I check my router every morning and can see the communication to the Ford servers overnight.  Still showing me as up to date.  Maybe they discovered issues with that newer version and stopped pushing it out (I can only hope).  But I'm going to still leave my updates set to automatic as it won't be a show stopper if I get the version you guys have and I lose the HUD nav.  If anything changes, I'll be sure to update this thread.

Wait - Just to confirm: You *DO* see navigation instructions on your HUD, like the screenshots in this thread show? That is great news (for you), and would mean I shouldn't give up hope about getting this. I plan on a lot of RV'ing and clear nav instructions are critical with a rig behind you.

Correct.  I DO see navigation instructions when using either Google Maps through Android Auto or the built-in Navigation on the truck.  Here are a couple of pictures I've snagged.....

    What size tires are they?

Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 37-12.5-20.  The wheels have a +1 offset.  I wanted a more positive offset around +20 but this particular wheel only had +1 and -18.  I liked the style so much, I decided to go with it.

I have the heavy service front suspension and was hoping not to have any rub.  But there was a tiny bit of rub on the inside fender on the cab side.  The little plastic piece that sticks out towards the midline of the truck was getting rubbed when turning about halfway.  I've since trimmed that piece and it is still very close.  Not sure yet how it will be with truck flex in turns, etc.

  5. So I finally picked it up yesterday afternoon after the long wait from 2022.  Got the Retrax and spray-in liner done.  Had the new wheels and tires put on this morning.  Benefit of the LWB.......all 4 of my OEM takeoffs are laying inside the bed with the cover closed!  Here's a quick shot as it has been pouring down rain this week.......

Hah, I know the feeling. My wife said "congratulations!' On the drive out to get my truck and I was like "whoa, not yet, don't jinx it. I'm not going to relax until we're driving off the lot with it."  Don't freak out, that tracker is likely to go blank at some point around the time it ships. It was about half a month from "Built" to "in my driveway", though shipping is a big variable. Good luck!

Well, a lot has happened in the last 7-10 days.  The dealer sent me a screenshot of the VINview tracking and it was on rail in Arkansas making it's way to the DFW area on Friday (a week ago).  It made the final truck leg to the dealer yesterday (Thursday).  It's going for the spray-in bed liner and tonneau cover today and hoping to get it in my driveway tomorrow.  Then I'll get the new wheels and tires first thing next week.  Pictures to follow after that.

But after my 2023 order from 2022 fell through and this order from July '23, I'm ready to put all of this ordering and tracking angst behind me.  But here's the timeline for those waiting for similar builds (my build in the sig below).  Mine also includes the 5th Wheel prep and Heavy Duty Front Suspension.

My production week has now come and gone with no updates for a production day.  Was hoping to see something change on the tracker at least by today (1/8/24).  My dealer told me back on 12/20/23 that the build "date" was 1/7/24.  And I did get the window sticker on 12/21/23.  The excitement of finally getting a production week after my original order was placed in 2022 has once again started to wear off.

Should have waited one more day before posting this yesterday.  I'm back to seeing some movement again.  Noticed last night that the BCE modules all populated and then this morning the tracker updated, showing the truck as built.  I'll keep saying "the" truck and not "my" truck until I have this thing in my driveway.

I picked up my Glacier Gray F350 Platinum this evening. I actually love the color, pictures simply do not do it justice. I think modern phone cameras try to enhance the color and as a result add too much blue. There's definitely blue in there, but it's not near as offensive as most pictures make it look. If you look long enough you start to question if you're seeing gray or blue. It's that subtle.

I'll add more pics if I take any that look more "realistic", but here's my new Platinum in two different lighting situations this evening (very overcast at sunset).  The first picture despite being in terrible lighting is surprisingly accurate, it's clearly more gray than blue in that pic. The lower pic is next to the F150 I traded in and in real life I didn't see that much blue, the camera added it.

My vote is, if you're on the fence but think you like the pictures you've seen in this thread, you'll be fine. It looks amazing in person.

Thanks for those pictures and congratulations on taking delivery.  I have a long bed F350 Platinum Glacier Gray that is scheduled for build for this week (still no update though).  I originally hated what I was seeing in those first pictures of GG.  But it has definitely grown on me.  It's just one of those colors that changes with every view, lighting, camera, etc.  I think I'll be ok if I can just ever get my butt in the seat of my own!

    I ended up passing.

For every SD I’ve brought home, there was a WOW factor at first sight.

For this one, it was the exact opposite. My 2020 sat next to it, and I could hear it calling me back. LOL

‘chrome mirror caps when everything else is nickel. Wheels just don’t elevate the look. Blue interior was something I could have lived with, but the Glacier IMO was just a head spinner on a truck this size.

None of it was working for me.

I’ll try again and order a new 25 Limited, or if the trim is changed, a Platinum Plus this summer.

Is there any hint of metallic in that?  It's Glacier Gray "Metallic" Tri-Coat but I have yet to see a picture that makes it look anything other than flat.

Well that is interesting. Maybe a web page error? Clear cookies/cache and try again? Different browser? I've had this page load half way before and not completely load, no G at the bottom.

Edge, Chrome, and Chrome Incognito all show the same for me.  The G is always present with no module data.

    2 hours ago, ClaudeSS said:

The G means nothing.  The module data is available 12 hours prior to your truck going down the line when it’s still a bunch of parts waiting to be put together.  The BCE may be temporally plugged in on a workbench to configure it at the time the data shows up.  But this data is a database of AsBuilt info for your truck that never changes. And can be used to reconfigure replacement modules to factory AsBuilt specs.  Not a bad idea for you to keep a personal copy though.

    Thanks for the info.  ?

  12. Yeah, I've been hoping for some different outdoor pictures to make me believe this color is even remotely close to the order tracking image below.  Quite disappointing to see how far off the color is.  My monitors are color calibrated for accuracy so I know the color palette on the build and price page is just not accurate to the real world paint mix they are using for Glacier Gray.

Save this data in a safe place... You never know what the future holds for availability. If you've never have or will mess with Forscan, this data means nothing to you.  If there is a "G" at the bottom of the list, your modules have indeed been physically loaded in the actual truck, it's powered and alive as you can't have a "G" at the bottom without the successful load of this data in the modules.

I've seen this mentioned before regarding the "G".  However, my 1/1/24 scheduled build for my F350 Platinum clearly shows the "G" at the bottom.  And obviously no module data is populated since the scheduled build week is still over a month out.  Curious as to how the "G" is any sort of an indicator of things.

For anyone with a VIN waiting, it looks like they are starting to refactor build dates after the strike. Mine slide out 2 more weeks and isn't scheduled till the week of 12/4 now. That's not surprising at all; if things go well it won't slide any further and maybe I'll have a Glacier Gray Christmas.

My Platinum F350 order had moved from 11/20 to 12/11 prior to the strike.  And now as of yesterday, mine also moved 2 weeks to 12/25 week.  So much for any Christmas miracle for me. ?

  15. I finally got scheduled for production.  Started with my order in October of 2022.  It was never built.  The new order for 2024 was placed on 7/19/23.  Today, the email states the scheduled production date is the week of 11/20/23.  Hopefully it sticks, but of course this is likely a moving target.  Oh, and my priority code was at a 10.  I had another post recently about my dealer changing it from a 3 back to a 10 based on what his zone manager told him to do.  I have zero idea why that would make anything better.  But, it's scheduled and has a VIN regardless.  My build detail is as follows....

    F350 Platinum

    6.7L (regular)

    FX4

    Heavy-Service Front Suspension

    5th Wheel Prep

    LED Roof Clearance Lights

    Max Recline Seats

    8' Box

    Glacier Gray Tricoat

    Black Onyx/Carmelo interior

There is absolutely no reason or advantage to changing a retail order priority from 03 to 19 because there are commodity or other constraints preventing the order from being scheduled. Doing so just puts your order in the pool with whatever other retail orders are in that dealership's USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) at the default priority code 19. Unless your Dealer is very, very attentive in managing their retail USOB, it's very easy for your order to get overlooked and lost in the process of doing what's best to expedite the scheduling of your order. Most dealerships are terrible at managing their USOB's and will just tell a customer what they think they want to hear or make up an excuse.

Commodity and plant constraints, plus supply chain issues, change on a daily basis. Ford does everything it can to schedule retail orders, including making exceptions to commodity and/or plant constraints when possible. Your Dealer has access to updated commodity constraints information but, if they're waiting to see all constraints removed from your order, the order will get scheduled later rather than sooner. By the time they think your order might get scheduled and change the priority code back to 03, they'll have missed the opportunity.

    This is the short version.

Thanks ice-capades.  That's what I had assumed was the case.  Coincidentally, after I posted this earlier, I had a call from the GM of the dealership a short bit ago.  Seems the salesman didn't relay the info to me correctly and he wanted to clarify as I had voiced my complaints quite loudly of being bumped down to a 19.  He said that they had just had a call with Ford yesterday and there has been a lot of problems with the new priority code assignments down to a 3.  Since I was at a 3, apparently they found out that the system didn't exactly know how to handle a 3 and therefore would not get scheduled.  So they temporarily moved mine to a 19 and that "flagged the order in the system".  He has pushed me back down to a priority of 10 and he said he is staying on top of this and assures me he is communicating constantly with the regional rep, etc.  And he assures me I am at the "front of the line".  In other words, it sounds to me that they are trying to manage their USOB very attentively.  At least that's the impression I got.  But while I appreciated the call from the GM and the explanation, I still have that question mark in my mind about the whole priority code assignment.  We will see what happens but at least the dealership sounds like they are trying to stay on top of the USOB as well as giving priority to those of us that ordered back in 2022 or earlier.

  17. After seeing some scheduling starting up for the 2024's, I checked with my dealer to make sure my 2024 F350 Platinum order was still a priority 3 as that is what is on my order summary I signed on July 18th.  Much to my dismay, they have changed it back to a 19.  The answer I got was convoluted at best.  But they state there are constraints and therefore they put it at a 19.  Once the constraints are lifted, they will put it back to a priority 3.  Does this sound accurate?  I thought once they assigned priority 3 to my 2024 order (my 2023 which I never got order was priority 10), it would simply stay at a 3 and certainly not go down.  He also provided this screenshot for my order status.....

I know that this has been hit on ad nauseum already, but I find it very frustrating that Ford is not sending update emails. I received an email Dec. 15 stating, "Now here’s our promise to you. We know that waiting for delivery of your Ford is far less fun than actually driving it. So, we commit to updating you as soon as we can, at least once every 45 days regarding your vehicle’s production schedule status. No matter what." (I added emphasis.) I received another email Jan. 29 saying, essentially, "No update, but we haven't forgotten about you." It's been more than 45 days since then, and I have heard nothing.

I don't need emails every 45 days saying that they still haven't made my truck. But when they come out themselves and make that promise, I expect them to keep that promise, especially given how easy it is to send out automated emails.

    It's annoying. Rant over.

I'm with you on that.  I got the same emails as you did on those dates.  Then nothing since.  I sure didn't expect to get my truck any time before the summer of '23 when I ordered on 10.28.22.  But when someone says the word "promise", you sort of expect them to hold to it.  My only hope is that the reason is that perhaps scheduling for my truck will happen soon and therefore they figured no need to send an email.  But I'm sure that's just me pretending to not be pissed off at Ford.  Still no update "as promised" now for 61 days and counting.
