  1. Ordered my F350 Platinum on 10/28/22.  On December 15th, I received the email from Ford saying "Now here’s our promise to you. We know that waiting for delivery of your Ford is far less fun than actually driving it. So, we commit to updating you as soon as we can, at least once every 45 days regarding your vehicle’s production schedule status. No matter what."  On January 29th, I got that 45 day email update as promised.  So with that being the last email I've seen from them which is now 50 days ago, I guess I can officially say that Ford broke their promise.  Imagine that.

I ordered a 2023 F250 Lariat with Ultimate Lariat Package on 10/27.  I have yet to receive any communication from Ford.  My dealer says the order has been received.  Should I have received at least some form of communication by now?  or have others experienced the same?

Me and my brother-in-law ordered SD's on the same opening day for orders.  I received an order confirmation email from Ford 2 days later, he did not.  His issue was that the salesperson had her email address on the order instead of his and she actually received the order confirmation email.  She fixed it on the order and he did get the 45 day update email notification from Ford like most others have received.  I would make sure that your email address is entered correctly on the order, etc.

It doesn’t really matter.  The main reason for assigning a 99 priority is to make sure the missing items are added before the truck gets scheduled.  If your platinum order is complete then it won’t hurt to keep it at 10-19 and just let the scheduler pick it up for job 2.

If you had a XLT and wanted one of those J2 features and your order was 10-19 it could get scheduled without it.  That’s why it needs to be 99.

    Excellent explanation!

  4. There has been a bit of discussion about this topic.  I initially believed that all KR, Plat, and Limited trim levels should receive priority code 99 per the order guide.  After my order for a Platinum had a priority code of 19 on it, I've re-read that section on page 2 of the order guide a few times.  And honestly, I personally read it to mean only Job 1 orders that include those features available starting with Job 2 need to have priority code 99 applied on the order.  My reasoning is that the section is broken into 2 bullet points.  The first speaking about the trim levels......no mention of priority code 99 needing to be assigned.  The second bullet point speaking about the features.....then it mentions priority code 99 should be assigned.  This is simply my interpretation, combined with my order confirmation email I got from Ford.  Others may interpret this a different way, but I'm reading that as 2 separate bullet points.  I guess I'll find out for sure in about 6-14 months, lol.

Thanks for confirming. And it says Platinum right on the confirmation, right? Anyone get submitted with priority code 99 and get a confirmation? Just want to make sure this isn't a unique case before I raise the issue with the dealer.

Correct.....It says "Since we're building this 2023 Super Duty F-350 Platinum just for you, we'll be keeping in touch...", etc.

Are you guys receiving confirmation emails even with Job 2 items? Does it list the job 2 items in the confirmation. My dealer said they couldn't submit the order, only save it. I am wondering if they need to submit it without job 2 items and with priority code 99 or if they are just mistaken.

I received a confirmation email from Ford for my F350 Platinum order.  The dealer submitted it with a priority code 19.  They of course should have submitted it with priority code 99 but since I have the confirmation email from Ford, I haven't said anything to them about it.

Not likely. I ordered a King Ranch yesterday and the special priority code 99 would be attached to it just like mine. I'm also wanting the onboard scale which is in job2. This means you're in the queue but waiting for job 2 features/trim which doesn't open until Feb??? last I heard.

So I did in fact get an order confirmation email from Ford, even though it is Platinum trim level.

  8. I'm coming over from the F150 Platinum with a new F350 on order.  Not sure if the SD's are the same, but they changed the F150's ventilated seats from "blowing" to "sucking" a couple of years back.  If you put a piece of paper on the seat, you can confirm if they are sucking or blowing.  But regardless, I feel like the "sucking" method really does suck!
