  1. Watch "The motor oil geek" on youtube and you will never wait 7-9k miles to change your oil.. unless you lease it and don't care. I'm changing my brand new 7.3 oil at 1000 miles and then every 4k.
  2. Shoot sorry I thought I responded to my predicament. Yes a 250 was too borderline for what my "dream" camper will be so I ordered (last week) the F350 with the 7.3 and the dealer figured around 3950 Payload with an 11,900 GVWR. Its amazing I sit and fret about something that I know I should do rather than make the F250 "work" ha ha been there and done that... maybe twice who knows. And your right just get the 350 and I'm done.. Once I signed the paperwork I was relieved. So much money for these but if I wait they will still be more down the road..
  3. Lariat with Sport Pkg with 5th wheel prep, upfitter switches, 250 amp alternator and nothing else.. Seems weird.. my F150 took weeks to get that status.. Also got the 7.3 and Glacier Gray.
  4. Delays... what delays, none yet... I ordered a 2024 F350 on Tuesday and today I have a build date and a VIN... holy crap!
  5. It was standard last year but I read it's now an option with the Ultimate pkg. Here is the excerpt: Feature Availability: The 2024 Super Duty offers a range of new features across different trim levels. Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch, previously exclusive to higher trims, can now be added as an option on the XL and XLT models. The Tow Technology Package is no longer a standalone package but has been integrated into various trims. Notably, the Lariat Ultimate, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims come equipped with Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Trailer Reverse Guidance, and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. The XLT Premium, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trims now include Connected Navigation with one year of connected services. I like it because I could "dial" the backup straight and just give it gas with no worries on my long driveway and some boat ramps, otherwise I do it the old fashioned way!
  6. Gee I only have to spend $5075 (Lariat Ultimate Pkg) to get a bunch of stuff I really don't want to get the Trailer Tow Package it seems. Been waiting to see the order site for the 2024's before I place an order and now I might rethink it. I sometimes backup in my 400 ft driveway and its nice to use on my F150.
  7. Yes leaning to the F350 as the Max payload for the F250 is 3470lbs according to the chart below and that's I believe the base model with nothin added. I'm planning on Crew Cab, 6.75 Bed. SRW, 7.3, 4x4 . It would be nice if those Payload specs would relate to a specific version as the GVWR's are all over the place in relation the the payloads. Here is the breakdown of the charts in that document and it doesn't make sense. I'd like to order by GVWR if that makes sense and how can you deduce a GVWR/payload of 11,100/4260 vs GVWR/Payload of 11200/3700. A 100lb difference in GVWR yet a 560lb difference in Payload? Thanks for helping.
  8. The dealers are of no help on what the differences are on the payload specs on the Super Duty Technical Specs. I am upgrading my F150 to either a 250 or 350 and I want a stickered payload of at least 3200 lbs. Anybody know how to decipher the GVWR\Payload as it relates to what is ordered? It's on pages 6 & 7 of that document.
