Hi everyone. Thanks for reading this. I just got my hands on a 2011 MKT with 230K on it but it's solid...aside from a transmission/torque converter that needs to be rebuilt. Anyone here know how to decipher the tranie codes? Mine is AA5Z7000HRM and this model is currently on 'back-order'. Every parts org I search comes back with AA5P 7000 XX. Not sure which of these substitutes for my 'unique' unit. p.s. getting shudder and 'rumble strip' noises from the TC. Maybe just replace that? Thx, W -
I have black fluid leaking from the center of the car. Presumably under the transmission. I used a flash light an looked down on top of the tranny area and see a pool of fluid on top of the tranny. Are there common problems or recalls out there with this problem? Any ideas on potential diagnosis?

I have a 2013 Lincoln MKT. A few weeks ago, I went to open the Vista Roof Shade, and I heard a loud snap (like a huge rubber band breaking). Apparently something snapped on the right side inside. The shade will NOT close nor open. I called my local Lincoln dealership, they referred me to a few local vehicle upholstery shops. Problem is NP ONE know how to fix. They can't even give me a price because they don't know what work is involved. Can anyone recommend a place to take for repair? I live in Baltimore, Maryland.
