Should I buy it?
ddkelly3103 posted a topic in F-Series SuperDuty ForumHello everyone, this is my first post so hopfully it’s in the right spot. I currently have a 2010 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi that I tow my horse trailer with. Usually 5500-6000lbs but occasionally will tow a bigger one closer to 8000lbs. My truck does great although the suspension is pretty soft and it’s getting up there in miles (197k) so I’m looking to upgrade and wanting a 3/4 ton this time. I had a 2011 f150 before this truck and I liked the interior as well as the handling of it alot better than my ram, although it had a 3.7 v6 so it wasn’t very suited for my needs which is why I sold it. With how comfortable the f150 was id like to go back to ford. I came across what I think is a very good deal on a 2012 f250 crew cab long bed XLT with the 6.2 gas engine and 133k miles. It’s only a few hours away and I talked them down to $14,500. First off, does this sound like a good deal? I’m in Indiana and the truck is just about rust free which is a huge deal around here, he also said it has zero issues and the body/interior look to be in good shape. Does $14,500 seem like a good deal? My second question, how well do the 6.2s tow and what’s the longevity like on them? It has 3:73 gears which I know isn’t ideal however my ram has 3:55s and still does great. I’d really like to hear comparisons on people that have owned/towed with a 5.7 hemi so I know what to expect switching to the 6.2. I know the stability will be way better but not sure on other aspects of it. Also, what’s should I be expecting mpg wise loaded and unloaded? Here are some pictures of the truck.
Should I order the HD trailer-towing package?
swedejohannson posted a topic in Lincoln Navigator ForumI plan to place an order for a loaded 2019 Reserve (Dark/Rhapsody Blue and Tan/Cappucino interior; 2nd-row pass through). We are coming off a lease of an Escalade and very impressed with the Navigator. It is for my wife and we need the size for our kids, carpools, and when we go on vacation with our 70+lbs. dog. Luckily, I have access to "X-Plan" pricing through work, as there doesn't seem to be other discounts. We don't really tow much but was thinking the trailer-towing package could be good to have just in case (although $1,900 is a bit expensive for "just in case"). Any thoughts from the forum? Thanks in advance!
2015 Edge Receiver Hitch
PaulProe posted a topic in Edge ForumHas anyone found a source for a receiver hitch to fit the new 2015 Edge. My new Titanium doesn't have the trailer package and I would like to mount a bike rack to the rear of it Thanks Paul
