Blue Oval Guide Posted July 4, 2007 Share Posted July 4, 2007 For Ford, flat sales are a good thing Ford Motor's June sales figures offer a pretty good snapshot of where the struggling auto company is relative to the turnaround plan the company and the Ford family is betting on to keep the American icon independent and out of the hands of a foreign automaker. From a sales standpoint, the company is treading water and playing for time. Ford sales were down 8% year over year in comparison to June, 2006. However, take into account Ford's announcement last month that it would be reducing unprofitable sales to rental car agencies, and retail sales were flat.
