NickF1011 Posted August 30, 2007 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Plenty of vehicles come from the factory with synthetic oil in them already like the Corvette, GT500, all Porsches, etc. There's zero harm caused by switching over immediately. YES!!!! details at http://baumbach.com/Expedition.htm I have on 08 Expedition, I switched to Mobil 1 Full Synthetic at only 1,000 miles. and plan to change every 5k and not 7.5k miles The oil from the factory has a dye in it that only shows up while looking at it with a black-light, they do this so any leaks can easily be found. They say the dye will not hurt anything. Just about any Full-Synthetic would be better then a Standard or the cureent Synthetic-Blend oil, i.e. Ford's Full-Synthetic, Mobil 1, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
