old_fairmont_wagon
The Patriot, for what it is and is supposed to be, is a rather nice little vehicle. And, unlike the Compass, actually is rather true to form for Jeep. It can be had with a level II AWD which makes it "trail rated". While not being a true rock crawler, it is capable when off road and properly equipped (in much the same manner the LR2 is). It also offers what no other jeep aside from the compass does, decent gas mileage. I wish the 2.4L world engine was a better mill, but, its decent enough when coupled to the CVT to scoot the Patriot around competently. In an era where CAFE will be rising again, the Patriot will likely become very important for Chrysler.
