montgom626
I drove 3 different 2009 Mazda 6 Touring Sedans all equipped with 4-cyl and 5 speed automatics. All had this roughness, a vibration just off of idle until around 1,000 rpm (when the engine became as smooth as silk) while moving out. Any idea what is going on? Anyone else experienced this? I have never driven a modern 4-cylinder with this roughness from 700 to 1,000 rpm. It was clearly an issue with the engine. I would buy the car today if it was not for this one issue. :happy feet: Thanks for any replies. Montgom626
thegeneral
Those engines are brand new and I'm sure they have low miles. The computer is still in a safe mode because it has so few miles on it.
timmm55
If you're used to a V8 or even a 6 you'll probably notice some roughness in an I4.
