Snow Tires

I picked up a set of 225/50-17 Blizzak WS-60's mounted on 17x7" Sport A7 wheels from the Tire Rack. Total height (diameter) is identical to stock, so no speedo problems. I had WS-50's on the old Altima, and they were loud and squishy. But these WS-60's on the Fusion, with its vastly quiter ride & better handling, are fantastic. No significant difference in NORMAL driving (keyword is NORMAL driving). Can't wait for some snow!

I just picked up X-ice2 in the 225-50-17 in size mounted on 07 takeoff rims and in installed the valve mounted tpms sensors. I had been using Artic Alpines on my Altima SE and then last year put on the X-ice2's on the Altima. Unfortunately, I was using the 215-60-17 size tire which was substantially larger in dia then the size needed on the fusion sport and when I did a dry run over the summer, it was clear that the larger size tire was going to rub the wheel well so I will put them on my wife's altima. I used the x-ice over the weekend when I had the opportunity to drive in the slush with both the RSAs and the X-ice2s......there was a substantial difference so I am confident that they will be fine for the winter.
