intimidator427
Just when Ford pretty much got it perfect with the 2010 f-450,2011 brings us a new engine 400hp@800ft.lb fantastic now its the perfect machine, one to be admired by all,but wait lets take away the 19.5in wheels(they looked so sweet) and go with 17in(what the hell is that) smaller rear end,and smaller brakes and lower GVW ,WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING FORD?????? Just when you had me going to buy a 2011 i find out you've just made the 450 almost back to a 350??? Well no 2011 sale here, maybe you"ll get your thoughts straight for 2012 i hope.Does anyone have any idea why the hell they did this??????? :banghead: :banghead: Edited October 24, 2010 by intimidator427
Mad Hatter
I understood it to be an issue of highway speed; the larger tires had a lower speed rating, and customers were complaining.
rottekatz
You may want to wait until the new engines have a proven track record over a couple of years and allow Ford to get repair parts into the supply chain.
rottekatz
My 2011, F250, XLT, 6.2L, LB, has been in service 43 days waiting for a lifter and cam. Edited October 22, 2010 by rottekatz
Sportscraft
The also quoted fuel economy but with these 4.30 gears I don't believe for a moment a dana 110 with 19.5s will get any worse the the 11 mpg I'm getting out of this 2011. Although its a toss up at whether I'm more upset at that or these new bulging fenders - 2012 needs to address both these issues.
waloud
I don't see the fenders changing until the next body change. They are smaller than the old set up. That's just my opinion.

Those new fenders are definitely a step backwards; reminds me of the Dodge fenders a few years back.
