Zippo
How likely is it that we'll see the 1.6L EcoBoost in the new Focus? In Europe, this engine is optional. I would much prefer the 1.6L EB over the NA 2.0L I-4, even if it demands a slight price premium. Does anyone else think the NA 2.0L I-4 might be short lived in favor of the 1.6L EB? The C-MAX is said to have this engine, and it gets released in the US late 2011 or early 2012. Seems like that would be a good time to start offering the 1.6L EB as an optional 2013 Model Year engine on standard Focus trims. If there's a chance the EcoBoost 1.6L will become a reality in North America, I will probably wait it out.
