Retiree's

Now that the Company is making money and giving salaried raises and hourly profit sharing, how about remembering the salaried retiree's. When I retired in 1999 I was promised health care coverage for life and life insurance, shortly after I retired I was TOLD that I required to co-pay on my health insurance. Then after three increases in co-pays I was told I was on my own for health care and I was allocated $1800 for health care, so go find my own!!! After three years I am still allocated the same $1800 for health care even though prices are rising. My life insurance has been dropped to $25,000 for life. I was also given a COLA increase in the first year of my retirement then told that no increases would be granted after that.

When I accepted a Salaried retirement offer I expected that the Ford Motor Company would honor their offer of health care, life insurance and COLA increases on my retirement. I was always told that Ford took care of it's Salaried employees on an honor system. So returning to my opening statement, now that the Company is making a profit how about honoring the promises made to Salaried Employees!!.
