hotcarl
How long should it take him to get it? Dealer gives the standard 6-8 week answer. Is there anway for an employee to speed it up? He and I both work for Ford.
Long forker DTP FINAL
How long should it take him to get it? Dealer gives the standard 6-8 week answer. Is there anway for an employee to speed it up? He and I both work for Ford. Maybe job #1 for 2014 is still 6-8 week's away, Job #1 2014 for my plant is 10-28-13. Pioneer
What is the priority code on the DORA?
hotcarl
Thanks to all who have replied. 2014's are on the lots and have been for a while. Sales are strong so I'm sure that's why they are saying 6-8 weeks. Not sure what a "DORA" is or where to tell him to look if I did know. He's says the dealer gave him a print out with codes on it. Codes are for the options and the body style and such. Is that the Dora? I've heard in the past that once a VIN is assigned that a vehicle could be sped up at the plant level if you knew someone. May be BS or obsolete, I don't know.
Pioneer
DORA. Dealer Order Response Acknowledge Have him look at the sheet the dealer gave him. Look for a priority number. Orders can be sped up by certain people, but it's not easy to do because they have to explain why.
hotcarl
Ok thanks. I'll have him check and let you know what the priority is.

hotcarl
Priority number is 10. Is that good or bad?
hotcarl
This may or may not be the right priority number. Brother in law is checking back with dealer. His paper work looks to be a in house dealer paper work and maybe not the DORA. It does have a priority number on it of 10.
Pioneer
10 is the best the dealership can do without a zone rep bumping it up.
hotcarl
VIN and rotation number has already been assigned. Looks like it's too late to move build date up. Scheduled to be built 11/04/13. Thanks
