Sunkiller
Hi, greetings all. Joining because I have a question.. please at least steer me in the right direction. I have a 2017 Lincoln MKZ 2.0 and I installed a JLT catch can. I want to keep future gunk out of my engine. When first installed for some time it captured only a small amount, probably less than half a can between oil changes. NOW it fills up about 1/4 of the can in between just getting a new tank of gas. It looks like chocolate milk, smells like Gas. The dipstick smells like gas as well but this may be normal for a GDI engine. Is this normal? Any ideas? One member on a VW forum had a very similar issue and said he strongly believed carbon deposits on the oil rings were the issue. He used Motor Medic Synthetic Motor Flush and it seemed to fix the issue, although he gave no details. Thanks in advance.
