RayLan
I have a new King Ranch ordered. Was contemplating getting it undercoated while its brand new. This will be my last truck and I want it to last. I live in the South (Houston) and we don't get a lot of snow. Maybe 10 flakes a year;> Any thoughts on undercoating? wsybert
Well... the body is aluminum so there is that. It would be mostly for cosmetics as the frame and other parts won't be an issues for quite some time. I would say no... but I have a friend that had his done. To each their own. Bodaway
you might consider it in case you ever go down the gulf and drive on the beach. I lived in Beaumont for several years and surf fished, so was on the beach a ton and always worried about the salt water from the beach. Stangman1990
I'm in Canada and did notice some corrosion on a few parts on the underside of my 2018. I have a new '22 on the way and am thinking that I may just keep treating key areas with a spray can of Fluid Film. I noticed surface rust on the rear diff, upper control arms, and cross-member of the frame that is visible in the rear wheel well. It was nothing to really be concerned about, but I want my truck to look new forever. ?
Stangman1990
On a related note, my local Line-X store says they can spray the undercarriage with a lighter version of their product. Has anyone seen or done this? I'd be worried about having moisture trapped underneath and the rust not being visible until it's too late. B_23G
Does anyone recommend spraying the wheel wells with undercoat material? I have seen people us linex and husky hasn't said anything about their 22 raptor liners yet. Thanks for any insight
