71stang99
Which is the best clutch for the 03 Cobra, car is not stock ~500 at the crank, perhaps a little more in the future so who has the best and where to buy? Thanks
shadowgray03
Which is the best clutch for the 03 Cobra, car is not stock ~500 at the crank, perhaps a little more in the future so who has the best and where to buy? Thanks Ive got the spec 3+ myself with rebuildable spec flywheel and billet pressure plate. Slightly softer pedal and it holds strong (im currently making 628 to the wheels on my pump gas tune) but the clutch can be a bit finicky when it gets warm. Its not quite on/off but no where near as smooth as stock to slip at low RPM but thats the price you pay when you start making decent power. mblgjr
Ram Dual Disc; or any Ram for that matter. I'd go ahead and go to a 26 spline input while you're there. I'm running a Liberty 26sp. w/ Ram 98951-T clutch. Its nice on the street and should be plenty of holding power for your current power level. I also went to a Ram Billet Steel flywheel; car loves it overall and launches better as well (I'm a full weight coupe).
beechkid
I would recommend chatting with Clutchmaster's in Colton Calif. They have been in business for 30 years, build clutches for every vehicle I have ever owned and used in both street/strip applications. Their expertise is incredible and their prices typically less than other competitors- typical build time was usually 24 hours.
