Blackdiamond925
I've got a 2022 F350 (25K miles) with two lead acid batteries and dual alternators on the 7.3 gas engine. I was checking oil and noticed the battery cap had recently popped off the primary battery, with battery acid pooled on top. I had been driving some challenging mountain roads. I'm concerned this means the battery is in trouble and was wondering if I should replace it or put the cap back on and be on my way. Normally, I would wait and see. However, I'm in Mexico pulling a trailer at high altitude and very hot temperatures. Just replacing these in town is going to be an ordeal, as I understand I should replace both. I would probably go AGM and change the settings in Forscan. There is an Autozone in this town. Am I being paranoid or is that battery on its way out?
