TBN LEISHA Posted November 2, 2006 Share Posted November 2, 2006 It seems that if the heated windsheild is NOT ordered a plug is installed in the main wiring harness. If a heated windshield is installed the plug from the windsheild is plugged into this connector. Mine came with the heated windshield with the wiring harness plugged and the connector for the windsheil hanging loose under the hood!! :shrug: It took over an hour of searching for the problem and I asked the mechanic to look at a demonstrator Sport Trac to see where the connector was plugged in. TBN LEISHA Posted November 10, 2006 Author Share Posted November 10, 2006 Well it is plugged in but still does not work. There is power on the plg but when switched on no current to the elements. We checked the continuity with the plug disconnected and nothing to ground and nothing across the two large wires. Will the windshield need replacing, the dealer doesnt have a clue!!!
