  1. Unless there is an agreement between the Union and company. Per the contract, tier 2 has no ability/rights to sign transfer bids to another plant. Deals have been made in the past. But there is no language guaranteeing the right.

  2. Walton Hills Stamping ran its last parts today (10/03/2014) forever. Unfortunately the demise of the Econoline at OHAP was the death sentence for WHSP. Many of the employees will transfer to the Cleveland Engine plant. But some trades are being ILO ed to the street. And for future reference in regards to this years negotiations. ........all the tier 2 people were ILO ed to the street with absolutely no rights to sign any available transfer bids. They arent eligible per the union.........which is B.S.

  3. I am very curious about how similar/dissimilar these 2 engines (2.0L EB and 2.3L EB) are.

    I found out today that the 2.3 will be built in Cleveland along with the 2L EB beginning this fall. So Cleveland will supply North America, while Valencia engine will supply Europe. So to answer your question. ...they are similar enough to be built on the same line.
