  1. None that I know of. Have a GREAT HOLIDAY!
  2. Thanks Robogamer, for your answer to my question. LEP has people on ILO back to last Feb. 1. LEP just called some people back June 1-09. Now more than was ILOd in Feb. 09 are going out. We have more work now than we had then. LEP is working OT. I used the word threat and it seems to be a problem with some folks. Anything that Ford does that effects my family and my Ford friends adversly (ie. income) is a THREAT to our way of life! In this rotten economy, can anyone call it anything else! There are no jobs to be had and SUB is fading fast. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
  3. No Kidding! OK-you got me there! You don't like threat. Well-how about non-official, pre-emptive notification through the grape-vine that Labor Relations tells the Union Reps. should be kept quiet until he doesn't call them back from Christmas Break, that the Union Reps. in turn tell him to go pack away because they aren't going to do that to their people- company to union verbalizations!
  4. Sound off! What other Ford plants are being threatened with ILOs for the start of the new year? Here at Lima Engine Plant in Lima, Ohio we were first told that we would lose 30 to 40 to ILO. Today we hear 15 production and 9 skilled. Also according to my area Superintendant, for the near future they are also going 5-10s forcing Friday OT.
  5. Your reply says all everyone needs to know about you. You have the right to your opinion, BUT you don't have a right to me caring about your opinion. A personal attack on me, for voicing my opinion, shows your stripes. Have a good life!
  6. Hell, everyone is in trouble. The Dems. and the Repubs. have both screwed this country in the ground. For the most part, the people of this country have let them. As I said, we are all in trouble and there isn't any one political party that can fix this cluster. The people of this country better wake up and see that they better find a way to get the politicos to do the will of the people instead of the will of thier cronnies. I am so damn tired of people believing that political carpetbaggers are the answer to their problems.
  7. I think that the UAW should ask Obama to FORCE FLORIDA CONGRESSMAN OUT! :shades:
  8. I just got a new tattoo. It Reads "EXIT ONLY!" Now I just hope they can read. :shades:
  9. Its been way to quiet out there. Is there anything that the ILO'd folks from LEP should hear about? Speak up we're LONELY!
  10. OK you guys and gals, I tried to even things up. I voted "NO" twice!
  11. Thanks Level, At least you have an idea where I am comming from. Hanging in! Same to ya!
  12. Look, The last poster was right and I'm not hanging all of the IUAW. I know that there are serious IUAW Reps. that have the memberships best interests at heart. I know a few, and I do appreciate those guys and gals. THANK YOU! With that said, like politicians, there are also those in the IUAW who are self seeking career carpetbaggers who don't really care what happens to the membership because they've got theirs already. I know a few of those also. Their actions prove it. I might be a little bitter. Like many Ford folks I don't have a job anymore. I frankly don't know what to do next, so give me that. Within a 75 mile radius of home, I haven't found a job in my trade that pays more that $18 an hour. And there is only one of them. I have been seriously looking and there is just no jobs out there. My dad is 80, so I can't leave the area because he needs me. Everyone in my boat has personal issues that would certainly be remedied by getting our jobs back. Some are in real hardship because of this. So don't take it personal if we are a little angry about the situation we are in. This is bad, and its gettin worse every day. For we folks that have nothing between us and the possibility of loosing everything that we have worked for, SUB is the difference. Losing a huge chunk of it just brings the Repo-man knocking sooner that later. I went back to my plant, the following Monday, to get something that I forget to take home with me when I left. I couldn't get through the turnstile. The company had already locked us out. I just hope that the UAW hasn't shut the door behind us like the company did. The SUB issue makes it seems a little like they did!
  13. No Kidding? They do discuss local issues on the local level with the invite of the local union . They did come to LEP the day before the ILO's, and we were told that it was IUAW who pushed for us to be ILO'd instead of TLO'd by our local COMPANY and UNION BARGAINING CHAIRMAN. So whatever you think you know isn't so impressive now is it??? GIVE ME A BREAK!
