  1. Hey fucker, I said I agreed to a national seniority so don't get your panties up in a bunch. Read my comments before you start throwing your shit around
  2. I gotta agree this, the smart car hasn't even taken off and I've only seen one on the rode in the city I live in and I know it's the same one. I kinda rank it with the Yugo.
  3. hey Die, shut your pie hole, you don't get it
  4. What do ya mean do my homework??? This isn't Gm plus I already knew all that so don't assume I didn't know about corporate seniority at GM. Sounds to me that you're a little bitter so don't snap your jaws at me.
  5. One more question, when all these layoffs were happening in the 70's and 80's, did they go by a national seniority????
  6. I'm not disagreeing with you Spine but I can see undermining of this list happening that could make it worse is all I'm saying. This is just a subject that is way too sensitive and has become a culture of "me myself and I" type atmosphere and I can see it getting out of hand but it is just my opinion. All I can hope for is the best for all and nobody loses a job but we need to smarten up because there is too many at each others throat around here and the whole world can see it.
  7. You need to put an application in for the Ford design department, at least I would know that the future of cars would continue to be nice looking ones.
  8. From what was seen in the drawings, looks more closer to the concept
  9. I have asked the same but still no response
  10. But can you imagine all the back door dealings that would take place while so many would slide their relatives, sons and daughters between the cracks and cause more chaos as it has happened so many times all ready. To put this together would be a monumental task and sure would be so many human errors. I'm not saying it shouldn't but their are so many working now that don't need to work and are very well off but are just taking up space because they don't wanna be at home with their wives or just don't know what to do. I know of couple of guys I work with have a Million dollars and that's not counting TESPHE that just won't go cause of their wives. Gimme a break on that one. I understand some can't but not the ones that can and just won't go. I'd almost guarantee if half of the well off high seniority left, this discussion wouldn't be taking place.
  11. 106,000 workers!!!???? Try more like less than 50,000 UAW workers
  12. Why do I have a feeling that the whole story is not getting told by Harley.
  13. so I was off a little but thanks for looking it up
  14. Could be that duel clutch Getrag trans, not sure though
  15. I was going to say the same as you but ya beat me to it and your right plus the Rouge was where it began over 100 years ago and don't ever see them shutting this area down.
  16. So you think Toyota is free of recalls? How about recalls on the 2008 RAV4 or the recalls on the crankshaft for the Prius and Echo. How about the Highlander recalls or the Corolla and Matrix, 2003-04 models for windows shattering. Siennas from 2004 to 2006 for faulty front doors. Tundra recalls, over 750,000 of them for multiple engine issues. Oh yea, lets not forget the engine sludge problems of Toyotas from the 90's that they keep denying is not an issue. The Crown Vic issue, it's a 5 star rating from the crash tests performed by you guessed it, NHTSA but I guess they forgot to test the rear end collisions at 100 mph standing still by a drunk driver. Ford doesn't make tires plus all the testings done with the Explorer was found to rollover just as much or less as any other SUV. But of course when you have dumb ass dealers telling you to under inflate tires for a better ride, what do you think is going to happen. You bring up the GT40, how many of those were made and that was fixed quickly, hell Lamborghini cars are sitting more in the garage than on the road cause they break down too much. The Pinto, well that was a mistake from the get go but was a product of getting a car designed and built too fast because of the gas embargo of the 70's but those Toyotas of the 70's were rust buckets from hell. So watch were you throw the rock, you may hit yourself as there isn't any auto maker without past issues but remember, they were past issues, Ford has the least amount of recalls in the last few years versus Toyota where they have the most recalls out of all automakers the last few years.
  17. that's all that is need to to be said, nice clear up
  18. What do you mean a gray area??? Most of the contract is a gray area. Why am I even arguing with ya?, Are we arguing? I'm not even going there and nowhere near going. Since you know the contract so well, I'm not being a smart ass about it, explain it. I don't have a contract in front of me cause I'm on TLO.
  19. This isn't about Saline, it's about AAI needing to replace the people going to Saline. The Saline postings were mostly about clearing out the gen people. From what I understand of the question is that there is a posting for voluntary transfers to AAI which in turn if people want to go to AAI, want not need to, then it becomes voluntary. The question ask sounds to me to be a warning not to take it unless you are forced because they will put a day one seniority on you instead of your whole seniority. I know what you are saying but the contract gets twisted with all these open ended interpretations and people have to be careful on how it is worded or ya might just get stuck with a stick up the a$$ and have no recourse.
  20. That has always been the rule, a voluntary transfer to another plant gives you the day that ya start at that plant unless you're forced then you carry your whole seniority other than the 84 rule
