So you think Toyota is free of recalls? How about recalls on the 2008 RAV4 or the recalls on the crankshaft for the Prius and Echo. How about the Highlander recalls or the Corolla and Matrix, 2003-04 models for windows shattering. Siennas from 2004 to 2006 for faulty front doors. Tundra recalls, over 750,000 of them for multiple engine issues. Oh yea, lets not forget the engine sludge problems of Toyotas from the 90's that they keep denying is not an issue.
The Crown Vic issue, it's a 5 star rating from the crash tests performed by you guessed it, NHTSA but I guess they forgot to test the rear end collisions at 100 mph standing still by a drunk driver.
Ford doesn't make tires plus all the testings done with the Explorer was found to rollover just as much or less as any other SUV. But of course when you have dumb ass dealers telling you to under inflate tires for a better ride, what do you think is going to happen.
You bring up the GT40, how many of those were made and that was fixed quickly, hell Lamborghini cars are sitting more in the garage than on the road cause they break down too much.
The Pinto, well that was a mistake from the get go but was a product of getting a car designed and built too fast because of the gas embargo of the 70's but those Toyotas of the 70's were rust buckets from hell.
So watch were you throw the rock, you may hit yourself as there isn't any auto maker without past issues but remember, they were past issues,
Ford has the least amount of recalls in the last few years versus Toyota where they have the most recalls out of all automakers the last few years.
