My daughter has build info: "Scheduled to Day (Aug-01-2011) " When trying to get the window sticker the site returns: The VIN entered was not found in our system. VIN requested is 1FAHP3J22CLxxxxxx. (I replaced the # with xxxxxx) Is this normal? Thanks!

I just got off the phone with Ford, they said the dealer has to resubmit the order showing the new color! This kinda makes sense to me, just wondering why the dealer wouldn't just do it since we told them regular black was ok?

Just got this info from the awesome Cyberdman on my daughters order, for a tuxedo black: In Order Processing - Unscheduled- Clean May-16-2011, 21:50 EDT From what I gathered they will be replacing tuxedo with regular black which is acceptable to her. Does anyone know if the dealer has to resubmit the order showing the change? I'm afraid that she will be waiting for tuxedo black which may be next year! Her '03 focus has 178K mi. on it, it needs to be replaced . Thanks!

From what I understand.....now. A girl from work ordered one on June 16. Apparently no holds on that color. Thanks!, I'll give the dealer a call and see if I can get a VIN from him. If not I'll try to get an order number and dealer number so I can track it via help from this forum . The reason I'm concerned is that there always seems to be some confusion about the color when I ask them.

Is there a non-dual clutch 6-speed in these cars too? I'm seeing basically two highway mpg numbers 37 & 38 (besides the LFE 40). Why do they differ? My daughter wants the Titanium so I'm assuming she's getting the dual clutch, I hope. Another question is when she drove it and took her foot off the brake it creeped forward. Is a clutch lightly activated in this case to simulate a torque converter? Thanks

We're lucky, There is a dealer almost walking distance away and we will never by a car from them because of a previous bad experience. This guy is 25+ miles away but fortunately close to work.

Fortunately for us the salesman we've been dealing with for the last 11 years is an honest guy. We've bought 5 cars from him without any issues at all !

First I said Edmunds it was actually KBB. They show: 76F Door Edge Guards, Stainless Steel (Installed by Dealer) (Std w/Interior Style Pkg-97S & 97L) My daughter is getting the 97S option (Red Tuscany Interior) but I'm sure she won't want the guards. If they are what I've seen in the past they break up the lines of the car and they don't look real good. On a 2012 does anyone know if the Power Code remote Start is installed at the factory or dealer. Edmunds says dealer installed but sometimes dealers don't do a very clean job installing stuff, not sure if I want that. While I'm here, does anyone know about the door guards that are supposed to be dealer installed? Thanks

Picked up the XLS Manual yesterday and indeed the rebate was in effect. Took the $1500 and applied it to the 6yr/100K bumper to bumper warranty. www.fordvehicles.com now shows all 2009 Escapes with the rebate where before it only listed the XLT & Limited. Very nice solid vehicle!

Talked to my dealer yesterday and he said that the 09 XLS Manual that we ordered will also qualify for the rebate/finance rate also. fordvehicles.com still only shows the XLT and Limited, I guess we'll see for sure in a couple days when it gets here. I'll post back then.
