  1. the 3.0 hasn't made sense in years, the 2.3 has almost as much power as the 3.0, but the 3.0 gets just about the same gas mileage as the 4.0, with out the power. but you are correct, it was a popular choice when purchasing a new ranger, people often thought that the 3.0 would get alot better mileage than the 4.0 and that they just "didn't need the power of a 4.0". i've seen 2.3 wiht the proper gears out tow and out haul a 3.0. not a terrible motor, just outdated....by 20 years.....
  2. it the last issue of front line that ford sent us here at the dealership, it stated that there are a few monir changes to the trim line up, they have dropped the 3.0 2v on all models. but other than that, same looks, same configurations (long or short bed, standard or extended cab) nothing amazing....order guides should be around soon, the truck should start hitting lots in august.
  3. as anyone forgot that Mr. fields is the president of an international company? this kinda thing happens all the time at other companies and no one even cares. he is the president of Ford of NA, the man can go to the company airport hanger and charter that company jet with comapny fuel anywhere in the world anytime he wants. its the privalige he gets with job......along with the big paycheck, the stress, the overtime, and the responsiblities. sure we could hire a homeless man from detroit to be president of ford, and i'm sure he'll never need to fly the company jet anywhere, but will he do as good of a Job as Mark tries to do? it all comes with the Job....the good and the bad....
