  1. Well OFS, I can see that you are STILL a fountain of wit and chicanery... No doubt the boys over at Otis Ford were laughing in the aisles at your wit! Speaking of Otis Ford... what is there address again? I really think it would be worth it to make a cross-country trip to buy me one of their vehicles... And on the survey form where they ask "how did you hear of us?" I will answer... from that freezing loser at your gate!!!
  2. Hmmmmm... this thread seems to have come a long way from talking about Civics... My $0.02: When I turn 40 I want a Z06 as my mid life crisis car! (unless Ford comes out with something that will blow me away like the Z06 does...) Now, back to topic at hand: The new Civic looks a lot better than its hideous, buzzy, ricer predecessors. However, that stupid dashboard reminds me of a late eighties Buick Regal dash. BIG useless speedometer and not much else. Here we have a centrally mounted tach - why? I am on record here as hating just about every Honda (S2000 excepted) there ever was, but I'll say this one is at least decent. OH.. and I'll still blow their doors off too - the next time some buzzing ricer wants to go a few rounds..
  3. I had a Cadavalier for 6 months as a company car... what a wretched piece of metal. At 60k miles it had leaks, burned oil, the car rattled like crazy, and it had trouble maintaining freeway speed. I imagine the Cobaltlier will have about as much longevity and durability as its miserable predecessor.
  4. I think that MT is just exhibiting the same slant that Car and Driver and Consumer Reports do... AMERICAN manufacturers = BAD FOREIGN manufacturers (particularly Honda) = GREAT I remember receiving a SPECIAL EDITION of C&D extolling the wonderous virtues of the Audi TT. I sat in the thing at a car show and wondered what car C&D had reviewed... cramped, uninviting interior, wretched driving position and controls, and horrifying sticker price. It has also gotten to the point that I can't even look at my Consumer Reports auto review section anymore... they will literally stop at nothing to bash the hell out of EVERY domestic car/truck and throw in some of the most pathetic little digs at the car, all the while singing the hosannas of (enter import name here) no matter how crappy the car really is. The Ridgeline is a worthless excuse for a "truck" and has a stupefying price - this is the reason for its pathetic sales. Only a biased reporter (or one on the take) could possibly prefer it to worthy trucks from Ford, Chevy, or Dodge.
  5. I've had mine for four months - so far it's holding up well at 7k miles. I'd argue about the seats though, I am not too crazy about them. On long trips my back hurts. I have the leather seats, I wonder if that makes a difference? Also, in So Cal no one notices these 'Stangs anymore... I used to get lots of looks but not anymore! Ah well... as long as I can kick ricer a-- I don't care. :P
  6. Why would you want to resurrect THAT old turkey? I used to have the 302... it was an oil burning POS. Good riddance.
