Hello, I work on the Escape line in Kansas City and about a year or two ago, actully started in Ohio on the Mariner, but they ONLY install those now on Escapes and Mariners with the 4 cyl. engines. You are correct, the hoods are the same and you can purchase a pad and the push pins at a dealer if you would like to add it. Hopes this helps!

Hello everyone up North!! I jumped overboard when I seen the ship "LAP/OHAP" getting shot at!! Here is just one paragraph copied from our news letter this month @KCAP..................... TOWING ALL NON-FORD AND ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES The Union was informed this week that Security will be placing stickers on all non-Ford cars that are illegally parked in the parking lots. This includes parking all non-Ford products in the designated area. All records that were kept prior to Wednesday, January 25th were thrown out. As of Thursday, January 26th Security began keeping records of license plates that are illegally parked. Starting on Monday, January 30th they will begin towing these cars after their first offense. THESE RULES WILL BE AGGRESSIVELY ENFORCED. Please abide by all parking lot rules so this will not happen to you. For you people that don't know how the operation is here in the parking lot of KCAP, it goes like this.... If it is not a Ford, you can't park close to the building, within approx. 200' of the gate AND you MUST park in the designated "NON-FORD PARKING" area located approx. 500' away from the gate. Heard a story about a union brother that had his Cadillac parked in the designated "FORD PARKING ONLY" area and the security was stickering cars. THESE STICKERS HAVE THE BEST ADHESIVE EVER!! YOU HAVE TO RAZOR BLADE THEM OFF!! Anyway he was sitting in his car and the security was writing down his plate number and he put his window down and ask the security not to sticker his window or he was going to get out and deck him. The security thought he was joking, applied the sticker on the Cadillac drivers widow, he got out of the car and DECKED the security guard!! Security got on his radio and called "code red".....they blocked the exit and to make the long story short, nothing came out of it, and the security guard didn't want to press charges! http://www.local249.org/breaking_news.htm

Hello Mary! Sorry been so late getting back to you! We are doing great! Love it out here, beautiful lands! The country overlooks are something else, as it appears at certain elevations in the highways, you can see the whole state! It is also weard not to have a city with holdings taking out of the check, No city tax, BUT they make it up it other areas like TAX on any and all foods, Grocery, dine in, drive through.......you name it!! They also have a PERSONAL property tax for Autos, trailers, boats that you MUST pay before receiving tags! They base that amount on the vehicle value. It is can be as mush as $500 a year on a $30K vehicle, such as the Lincoln LS I just bought Robin. Speaking of Robin, see loves it and wouldn't trade it for nothing, that is Missouri! The Daughter reallly likes it also, as they offer so much more in the AAA rated schools out here. Well Tell Mike, Your bro we said hello! You take care, and try to keepem' in line there Mary! The people that I have worked with and are currently working with accepted us with arms wide open, as they have giving much advice on places to go and where to stay away from, VERY NICE PEOPLE here!

SPRING! Hey how are you doing lady! Everything is fine, EXCEPT for the Tornado that took out 35% of our seat company over the last weekend! We have been on layoff for just 1 week and are due to return on Monday. People here DO NOT know how to live off of 10 hrs!!!!!!!!! Wow alot of spoiled people down here. I got a real nice nice job hanging tires,easy, and I am VERY happy with my decission to come down here. All has worked out great!! Sold our house up there and bought down here 2 weeks before starting to work. Relo, has supplied the funds that was alocated, less those TAXES!! Sounds like a REAL Cat and Mouse game up North??
