  1. So if you are not court ordered to pay something you should be o.k.??? She is not court ordered to pay anything, we are doing this on our own.. Does that sound right? Thank you all for all of you remarks! Happy new year.
  2. Got a real quick question for you all, can anyone tell me if they garnish your buyout check if you have had some creditor issues in the past? My significant other "HAD" some problems about 10yrs ago and we have been slowly picking away at them recently but we may still have something left that we missed, can anyone tell me if they can take that out or is that like a car payment and it does not get taken? OR better yet maybe if someome knows what get's taken out post that! Thank you and have a wonderful new year!
  3. My wife and I traded off all of our Ford's a few months ago! Not because of what was happening but because we liked Chevys new trucks better! 07 Avalanche LTZ was our keeper and we just traded off a Cobalt SS for our BUY OUT splurge a 06 Land Rover "Range Rover Sport" thought we should give a buyout back to Ford!! Happy Holidays!
  4. I also believe you keep all pension money accrued
  5. The p273 replacement has been out there for at least 5 yrs and Ford has done nothing but kill off the idea time and time again!
  6. Real quick can you tell me if the money is based on NET or Gross pay? Trying to figure out about how much per year a guy could expect to see.. Thank you
  7. Believe it or not I asked that exact same question at the last union meeting and they told us that when the contract expires in 2007 and if GEN is done away with you will be terminated!!! No buyout, no silver lining and no parachute just a buh bye for you.. Think of it like this, you are only protected as long as the contract says so, so if the contract no longer says you have GEN protection then guess what happens next. Can you feel the boot in your ass, sorry to sound so bitter but I just lost my job yesterday and a portion of my patience went with it.. Good luck
  8. Man do you guys read anything? She did a walk around a filled a job that was "OPEN"a utility had been covering the job for months.. Like the rules state! She also lost her utility pay immediately! She did "NOT" go to medical to keep her job the union went up there and did it behind her back and it was not till I got involved that we started to get answer's! She does not want to be on medical she is getting better and wants to be left alone, that is why she signed "OFF" of the utility position...
  9. Harry thank you, she gave up utility because it was wrecking her and did a walk around a few weeks later and found a line job that she could do in the zone she was already in and took it. She had been on the job for awhile and the union out of nowhere comes up and tells her a few months before a supposed permanent layoff that she has to take her job back even though she signed off on the job back when she got injured!! So here we are a few months away from dooms day and they bring this up now I.E Timing looks suspicious... So she knows she can't do the job she left, the company and the union also know it and they still say move. So my question would be now that they put her back on limited restrications so that she can stay on the job she is on is she o.k. in case of a layoff or are they going to come snatch her up and send her to medical lay off camp? Will she be treated like all other line workers (cause she is one) or will she be discriminated against even though we have done it by the book? So sorry that I have so many questions it is just that no one here wants to give us any answers.. Thanks again
  10. To add alittle more to this, my wife did the walk around thing and found the job during that process. She was NOT medically placed until last month when they told her that she must take her job back or else, all this after she had been on this job for well over 1.5 yrs! Hell she even signed off of the utility position way back when this all happened because she knew she could not do all of the jobs properly in the zone. She is a very hard a dedicated worker not to mention it is not like her current job is picking up cardboard. All I was wondering is if anyone has experienced anything like this, I am not trying to stir the pot I am trying to get some honest answer's to a puzzling problem we have. Lastly what does ee mean? Thanks to those that responded!
  11. Please help us. My wife and I are employeed at Ford and we are having some issues with her being on a job! Believe it or not here is the deal. My wife was a utility and was injured on the job, went onto medical for about 2 weeks and found an open job that fit her needs and took it. She has since been on the job for over 1.5 yrs and loves it, but all of a sudden the union comes up to her last month and said you have to take back your utility or else, or else what? So, we fought tooth and nail with them to keep her job (the only 1 that works for her) so she can get reinjured on the utility job again that she hates. Makes no sense to us, but the "UNION" says she has to do it! Then all of a sudden I get a stop by, by my union guy and he says everything has been fixed and not to worry she will be left there no big deal.. So I do some snoopin and find out that he put her back on limited restictions to keep her job WTF!! She does'nt need restrictions to do this job!!! So there is the story, my questions are: 1st can they do this? 2nd If she is on medical even though she is on an actual job and if the plant layoffs off people is she still eligible for unemployment and sub money? The union says sure but I don't believe a word they say. Some people keep throwing Workman's comp at us and I am like she is working what makes her different from me then, does that mean I have to file for workers comp and I am not on medical restrictions? 3rd Buyouts I had read a while ago that if you were on medical 90 days prior to the buyouts/layoff you were not entitled to get them. To me that sounds totally unfair especially since she "IS" on a job working? I hope some of you might have alittle insight as to what we should/can do. We are hard working employees that feel like we are not getting a fair shake can you please help!! Thanks
  12. Here is M.O if the paint is truely flaking off the vehicle than it should be covered in the warranty. You obviously have to prove that it was not road damage, they can be real tricky about that sort of stuff. Lastly I hope you have a good repore with the dealership that always seems to help in this sort of stuff.. Good luck and go tell em.
  13. Absolutely that is called being proactive, let the folks go that want to go and let those that want to hang out hang out. Nothing is making any sense anymore, there are greater powers at play here and we have to go along.. But my original question never got answered, I was hoping someone could shed some light on weather the company can just cut you loose at contract time or do they have to offer you some type of buyout option? If the union allows it of course.
  14. Really, so then when the poo hit the fan around here and folks start collection unemployment and sub the union decides what to do with you? I don't neccesarily mind getting paid to stay home (I DON'T WANT TOO HOWEVER) I can still support my family, what I am generally seeing is folks sit and wait on Unemployment and sub then once they hit GEN Ford or the union start cutting deals. Does that sound somewhat right 2U? Like I have mentioned before "CAN" the union/ford just cut you lose or will there be some type of seperation incentive? Thanks again
  15. Believe me I know what you are saying, I am learning some real disturbing things about the union during this ordeal! You start to learn who the union is really for after a while, at least that is the feeling around our facility. But when push comes to shove I would have to believe that the union/ford will have to offer some sort of separation packages to those who will be in permanent layoff etc etc. What do you think? I guess what I am trying to say is and this is a worry I hear about quit a bit is will they just shut the plant down and we are all screwed. No packages of any type just your states unemployement??? That would be a real cruel joke to offer some packages and others get squat!! Thanks for your reply.
  16. You have a scary point about buyouts, what plant are you at if you don't mind sharing? If you do, why do you feel that there will not be any buyouts left? Also, I know what most of you will say but can Ford honestly give some people buyouts and hose others? I am not so hard on Ford as to think they would slit some folks throats and not others... I am also worried about my plant, but it could be a few more yrs before she meets her demise! I would also love to have some sort of education or lump sum buyout to soften the blow. I wish you all well and hope there is something for all of you that will be effected by this terrible situation. Thanks for the help if you can give it!
  17. gosh, I hope there were not many of the 05's left! Were there?
  18. Ya in then let's pray it pop's their head out of the ass for a second just so that they can see the sun shine! Dip shit's that F up the company piss me off!! How can most of them even hold their heads high? "WORTHLESS WASTES OF SPACE" have to go! They ruin it for the folks that actually need medical, so you don't know who's fakin and who's not! "SAD"
  19. Thank you! I sure hope all goes well with there new purchase. Did they get a nice deal on the 06 or was it an 05 if there are any left out there? Thanks again.
  20. What is CAP? I have been banging my head trying to figure it out and can't. Thanks
  21. I am writing this for my wife because she cannot stand to read these forums (makes her cry) We are both employeed at a plant that is more than likely not going to see greener pasture's (until they bull doze it) and honestly have just about killed one another on many occasion's just trying to deal with our family! It has just about gotten to the point where we need to just walk away and it was not like that just a few yrs ago. I guess what I am trying to say is God be with you all and I hope the best for those that have to face the worst. Remember there are many plants that have very little to worry about I.M.O.P. and there are many that can't function properly due to the rumors, we all need to work together to help 1 another in this time of need by so many... Oh BTW my wife just got up and told me to get the hell off of the computer, cause we cannot afford the internet access anymore.. God speed and God bless!
  22. All I can really add to this is that on all 3 of my newer F Series they do the exact same thing and once the truck warms up/dries off they squeeling belt goes away. Oh and yes it is only on damp days, so that would leave me to believe that this is a wet belt condition on the different models not a bearing or something major like that!!
  23. I can add a bit to this thread, I just picked up our new 06 GT Tungsten Gray with a 5 speed and all we can say after 250 miles of pure bliss is.. STUNNING in every way shape and form.. I have never been in a vechicle for that price that turns heads the way this new stang does.. It is quick (relatively speaking) and smooth, I also understand that this is a Mustang and road noise is part of the game that is what makes a Mustang a Mustang! No disrepect to anyone but if this car did not have alittle extra road noise or exhust tone it would have been called a Fusion!!! I can't get the wifes a$$ out of the dam car and she just loves the bruttish sound and feel that the new and greatly improved GT offers and this is coming for a girl who has had 4 New stangs in the last 3yrs.. 2 machs, 1 GT Vert and an 04 Mystichrome Cobra and not even that compares with the GT minus the tad bit of H.P I got under the hood.. Hell I would sell the Cobra in a second to get another 06 GT.. So to honor the Mustang's before us let there be noise, believe me when I say this. This car is 100% quieter than the Cobra I got sitting right next to it, if it was any quieter I would have to trade it.. So go easy on the new stang they stayed true to what they are a real american pony car!!!
  24. Weird I thought that all of Ford's plants were covered by GEN! Or am I misunderstanding the question?
  25. I would agree, but what if you are not vested? Oh BTW how many yrs do you have to have in to be vested?
