okay at the union meeting chairman announced that they will be doing 2 sets of 26 people inverse senority layoffs starting next month. if that does not tell you we have to many trades don't know what will. we have 40 + to many and if they have buyouts we have 9 millwrights on course allready there's the replacements already if they replace the buyouts retirements at all. sorry st louis if i was a tradseman i would find a way to go back to the line transfer up here and wait for an opening to apply to get back into trades. ask around not many people get out of gen or transfer as trades thats a fact sorry to say but it seems ford does not move trades from plant and if they do its very rare. so i wish my st loius brothers luck but with trades laying off here face it your probably not coming.

no such luck on the last buyout 3 millwrights took it and they have been replaced by turned out apprentices. no new buyouts have been offered yet but then again they tell us we are 40plus trades over right now. currently there are 9 millwright apprentices on course and they are to cover future retirements and on welders only one is able to retiire and he will not go another 2+ years away. so good luck if they have skilled trade buyouts they probably will not replace the losses.

okay redman we will see what happens but what you failed to answer was the 300 people plus that are going home weekly being asked to go home. i dont think ford is going to cough up 300 plus packages think the numbers man we have to many people thats fact start checking around on the flip outs thats not counting if they go to mass relief and that is a rumor but still any rumor has a grain of truth somewhat. they are not firing the deadbeats and only 18 retired this month quite a few were left over from the 100 buyout list. face it we have to many people and now that trucks went to 8 or less people were healed overnight and came to work amazing isn't it. so we will see what happens but on not having a layoff they have talked of starting a gen pool thats fact. so will see i hope we get more buyouts 70 plus that signed up besides the 100 did not get it but still by numbers thats not enough to have openings. and oh yeah the visteon plant is local 249 also so you think the local is going to forget about its own membership to let st louis show up??? well we will see i know quite a few people from st louis hope the get the chance to come but i am a realist i know the numbers hell tanksley was a hell of a boss in paint when he was here. so thats the facts now lets wait for reality to set in.

if kcap or dearborn takes your product then you can transfer but currently kcap builds all models of f150 cab and box styles so if say the licoln moved or the harley model moved or the lightning moved then if they built at your plant and they moved it to kcap then you can move other than that sounds like your tanked.

its amazing they told us at kcap we have the worst attndance cost 18 million last year placed 15th out of 15th but what they did not say is we are 2 assembly plants in one location so split it up and tell us where we are at in the system by vehicle sides. this is a blatant playing all against each other on plants. but mr ward did say he sees norfolk as future toast after the toyota plant opens and he would know he came from norfolk. sorry to say for all the plants being closed and idled i fell for you. hopefully the union wises the fuck up and fires the chronic absenteeism that abounds the ford system and hopefully that will open slots to bring layed of plant employees here to kcap. i have owned a few vehicles from atlanta and they convinced me to buy more. i hope the best that the union wises up and fires the deadbeets and that all of the laid off people will get a chance to go somewhere else. so wishing all the best than can be and have hope maybee one day people will wise up and take care of there own.

yes kcap has built v6 since they came out from the beginning,l there body shop was set up to run the largest vehicle possible that being the expidition. also kcap is getting major upgrades to do the wet two tones that might mean we could also run the tri color paints also. we can run all cabs and all size boxes including the flare sides been ruing them since last model. have ran the blackwood and the harley trucks and running king ranches from day 1. so i hope that answers your question on truck side thats not counting the escape tribute and mariner production that a whole other assembly plant basically. plus 700 acres sitting around the plant with entrances already having been constructed. the biggest truck they have run was a crew cab with an 8 foot box ran a few of them over a year ago so thats another one that may be waiting in the wings. but who knows hell look at the other bad so called great designs can anyone say explorer and 50% drop in sales hey save a buck pay for it in sales.

kc has already been running flex fuel and gettin set up to run the crew cab with 6.5 box will start afetr work has been completed after christmas.
