  1. Flash, Looked at your pics, and I had the same exact hood issue when I had my 05 Stang. It drove me nuts thinking I would close the hood and it would collide. I had the Ford body shop fix that. In fact, when I pick up the 07, that was the first thing that I looked at. I see what you mean on the rear facia. Hope they fixed it all up for you. I gotta go and check mine. I noticed on mine that one of my wheels has 19 of those stick on weights, I told my sales person, and he said to bring it in and tell service that you are unhappy with 19 weights on the wheel. Also on my hood (pass side) around halfway up near the edge (towards the fender are) there is like a fish eye size circle in the paint. almost looks like a weld or something under the paint. To answer your question on the Chin Spoiler, it is a CDC Classic Chin Spoiler. No cutting, drilling or body mods are needed. It bolts to the existing in fender holes and push plugs underneath, all there for you. It would look good in Black or GO on your car, either way you would need to get it painted. Myself I prefer the key color to pronounce its existence. It does not reduce "ground to spoiler" space which is 6.5 to 7 inches, (maybe 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch) but appears it does. I think that is one of most favorite mods I like, in addition to the WebElectric seq. Lights. The the WebElect option is one I can never see to enjoy.
  2. Hey Flash, how r u doin? I know i has been quite here for a while. Got some new mods for the RedFire. CDC Classic Chin Spoiler, SSE I Rear Valance, Xenon Mirrors, Painted Calipers. Also put on a new set of axle back mufflers fully polished t304 Stainless Steel PYPES VIOLATORS. They sound great. Found out that stock is a 5 out of 10 noise level, and these are 9/10. I do not have pics of them yet, but they fill that facia hole a bit more then the stock, and sound great. Pypes Axel Back Sound http://pysales.com/movies/05must-out-axleback-violator.MPG
  3. would they tell you the material they are waiting for? Call you dealer, maybe they can find out.
  4. Flash, Really cool "My Album" the GT-GO looks real sharp and good idea in doing it once instead of always loading pics in the posted messages. I like the links you provided smart idea. I am going to try that myself, "do not think I am copying you" but I guess I am. :D "when I get a chance". I did/do have my prior car in CarDomain but never got a chance to do my current one. If you get the sequestials, make sure you get the ones for your car. Ford changed the 2005 and 2006+ wire harness as in this bulliten: I got mine from WebElectric also, with the 2006+ setup and they work great. a true plug and play replacement harness, NO WIRE CUTS OR SPLICING NEEDED. I do have a few new body mods coming in next week but will need to get them professionally painted. The front classic chin spoiler and the rear Mustang GT valance lip (SSE-air defuser style), and xenon mirror covers. Here are the links: http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-9125-25-0.html http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-9618-25-0.html http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-9177-25-0.html I am toying with geting the Boss style striping but need to think about it. Something like the 2007 Boss on the http://www.allfordmustangs.com/articles/article_00728.shtml but without the "BOSS" text. Not sure if black stripes would look good on the RedFire, but on the GO would look great. BTW: Cool tool to build your Mustang. Pick your car and have fun. http://www.ponybuilder.com/home.html you can get a better idea on how the car looks with the mods, and how the chin spoiler spoiler would look painted. I do like the aggressive chin spoiler, but it requires cutting out a section of the current facia and I am not sure how the lower grille will all fit in because the hight looks bigger.
  5. Machine looks GREAT! :happy feet: :bandance: :happy feet: More pics after she is all cleaned up. I just added my 2nd mod today, sequential tail lights and they look cool. 1st mod was bullit door lock pins.
  6. Jim, hope you got some pics of her all wrapped up. That is what I did when I got te call, went down to snap some of her while in the bag.
  7. Update New Pics. Post 548 http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...3556&st=540

  9. I asked a dealer today a question about the GT500. My question was: I have heard that there is a weight problem with the car and are not shipping yet. It appears that they may need to reduce the weight by removing the Shaker 1000. Is this correct? Will shipping be delayed? Is there a price adjustment if they replace the S-1000 with the S-500. The price difference is 1400.00 between the two. His answer was: I do know that they will not be making any convertibles right now with the Shaker 1000. We were not given a reason, only told it was a quality issue. I also would assume the price would be less as the Shaker 1000 was an option and the Shaker 500 is standard equipment.
  10. :bandance: GREAT GREAT FANTASTIC news to you. You'll be riding nice soon, push that little button and run with that top down. PICS when you get it. I guess that the ERL might get updates daily on approved / accepted orders, and updates on Thursdays for new orders / and orders that had option changes. I called this ERL this morning also, still the same message, now I know it by heart........ "your unit is is scheduled :blah: 7-18-06, week of :blah: 7/17/06 ..... with ETA :blah: 8/3/06". Heck never heard the LOCKED IN yet. :titanic: I'll give it a call again this evening.
  11. Wow......... :happy feet: good deal for you on the "ERL Move Up ETA Date" report. Glad to hear your unit is rolling down the line. Guess you need to buy that box of cigars. ERL for me today is still the same. the same old "as of 7/18/06 your unit is scheduled to be built the week of 7/17/06 with an eta week of 8/3/06". I wonder if there is a delay on mine, or do they just update status' randomly, or they ran out of Wheels, or brake discs. I did order the GT appearance, 18" Bullitt Polish wheels (64W), and the 3.55 rear, and cloth top. Guess I will try CSC. *** UPDATE *** Just called CSC and they cannot tell if the vehicle is built, (they say the data is not screen displayed) or is even on the line, all they had is that it is scheduled to be built on the week of 7/17/06 and scheduled to be delivered 8/10/2006. The ERL states delivery 8/3 and CSC states 8/10. Sounds like they are not sharing to the same data bases. At least the VIN is alive and well, and had all the dealer info correct. Hopefully by her bringing up the order record might trigger some updated request information on the ERL (but I doubt it).
  12. I believe I have found the CSC number in post # 66 """ customer service (800-392-3673) """ I will first try the ERL tomorrow to see if there is any updates, if not I'll try the above CSC. What info do they request from you? VIN? Order No. etc............. Thanks
  13. When you called the CSC, did they ask you if you worked for the dealer or any questions that one might not know the answer. I assume you meant the CSC that has the same number as the ERL but take the "analyst" route. I cannot understand what the big deal is in FMC giving us information after all, one does need to plan. I am trying to plan a few business trips that I need to take, going out of town (flying) and pick up my pony when it comes in. Of course, I have to also ensure the financing is a good percent. In this age, when you purchase a build, they should also give you an ID PW etc, so you can just go on line to get your own order tracking. Such a simple application, but it cost $ i suppose.
  14. We learn something new every day. Thanks. Wonder if I was bucked yesterday. Guess I will just call the ERL again tomorrow. Is the message update on Wednesday evening for Thursday morning business or is it updated Thursday evening for Friday morning business? they actually should process it daily, it only takes a bar scan reader and an upload to the computer system. Cannot be more then 2 mins of batch processing updates.
  15. I do not know what "bucked" means for i called the ERL yeserday, and today, and still get the same old message, "As of 7/18 your unit is scheduled to be built the week of 7/17, and the estimated arrivial date is the week of 8/3" Help me, I am beginnig to memorize these words. notice there is no stating "LOCKED IN" hmmmmm Called my dealer today for a status, of course no help, all then said it should be here in another 3 weeks. Ahhhhhhh just saw your post Flash, so bucked means production. Cool stuff, because when I hear BUCKED, i associate it with or someone stepping in front of you in line.
  16. actually from what I understand and read, the 5/60 is only available on 2007's effective on 7/14/06 forward. see attachments, one states on 2007's and the Supplement states on or after 7/14/06 for 2007's 5_60Warranty.pdf 2007_NewWarranty.pdf
  17. I have never had luck with VIN numbers. I use take the order number path and it works. The silly thing is, they should change this to allow you to use the keypad instead of voice recongition. But any way user your order number and you will get to it. I found you have to be real clear with the number "8" or it will think you said "A". I got that down pat now. Good Luck. PS have a quite environment, no TV's or radios on when you speak.
  18. Hi FLASHFEARLESS Have you heard any updates on your ride from the ERL? Ours are due for build today, and I called this morning and still did not hear those 2 magic words "LOCKED IN". Have you heard on your unit? Thanks 5/60k is nice.
  19. :bandance: OK, just got some good news from Carlo's. Guess we lucked out on waiting............. :happy feet: Read Carlo's post #5438 http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/show...8391#post478391 Post # 5438 Here is the attachement 2007_NewWarranty.pdf
  20. Ahhhhhhhh  I was not aware of those 2 little words with a BIG Meaning. I guess I will be calling ERL often, even though updates come on Thursdays. Hope we are both not :titanic: disappointed, after waiting so Looooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggggg.
  21. :bandance: :happy feet: Ahhhhhhh :happy feet: :bandance: this is the week the ERL is stating that my Vert will be built. Week of 17, on the 18th. Hopefully all AAI workers had a nice 2 week vacation and are anxious to get those ponies out the door. Who else is scheduled for this week? The new pony corral is now all complete and just waiting for its new 2007 GT Vert arrival.
  22. Well I called the EVOL today and she said " As of 7/18/06 (i guess she meant 6/18/06) your unit is scheduled to be built the week of July 17th 2006 with an estimated arrival date the week of August 3rd 2006" Hope they stay on target, I would hate to see any commodity holds or set backs. FLASHFEARLESS - our cars are on the same week. Have you checked the EROL for an expected deilvery date? Also pay attention to the as of date.
  23. Yes it is, and has no value customer value. In my IT of course it is an expense, but each project is conducted based on ROI and customer product focus. We deal strickly with financing, from small office products, autos, fleets, med equipment, Rail Roads, private and commercial planes / jets. So all our changes are directly related to finance, reduce credit approval times, and various financial structures. So ours are directly related to increase customer base and keep that footprint in the sand (returning customer), and of course being competative, while providing customer service systems. This was all great for companies several years ago going off shore to reduce cost, but I have always said, it will diminish one day because every company is doing it, and there only so much you can cut. I heard a speach from one of my past company's CIO state, we like to cut head staff 10% a year, well if you calculate that, in a few years, you would only have 1 person working. Interesting thing is, GDC's costs are going up, "cuts into profits" where do we go from here. The challange is, cut head staff, and customer focus application and demands suffers. Increase head saff, of course profits also take a hit. R&D is mandatory to produce the best, reliable product, but quality must be present to keep that footprint. It reminds me of yester-year, when you always purchased your gasoline at the same station, who also fixed your flats, changed your oil, etc. Today, no such thing as customer loyality, it is all competative. Just like buying a car and you finance it, the finance guy tells you yes you got the loan, but you have no idea who picked you up. What happened to when you went to your local bank. When I bought my 05 stang, I went to my local bank and asked for a loan (remind you I have cash there in CD's). They told me you are better off getting it from your dealer because we charge too much. The and wanted 9.75% and the dealer got it for me for 5.75% a finance Credit Union that I never even knew exsisted. FORD, GM, Chrylser, etc depend on customer loyality, but do they really care? They might. Ford, GM Chrysler really want the financing piece, though they are under a different profit center. But they are also are not willing to go the distance. In 1992 I bought a GMC truck but GMAC would not finance it. Chrysler financed it. In 1994 I purchased a Chevy Blazer, again GMAC would not take the paper, Ford (FMC) did. In 2005 I bought a 2005 Mustang, FMC would not take the paper so a credit Union did. You figure, what the hell they are all doing. The only thing I can figure, because I once worked for an auto finance company and lets just say it was ABC Finance, so if you purchased a ABC car at a dealership, the dealer would tell you 10% while the ABC Finance charge 9% and the dealer is getting a 1% kickback from the fiance company each month you make that payment. There are so many kick backs and reserves going on, I think the auo finance people at dealer ships know just where to go for their own interest. "of Course" SORRY FOR BEING OFF TOPIC.
  24. I have to agree with you. Being in IT myself, it take months for acquistions, Due Diligence, Intergations are extremely lengthy. Try fitting another system into another requires many changes. In todays IT world, I know we have enough work for the next 10 years, while many holdups occur due to compliance changes, SOX requirements, and business related changes, Disaster Recovery Testing, software / hardware upgrades, interfaces with 3rd parties, on and on and on. Conversions are long and it is impossible to keep up with the users requirements and business changes. Though real time processes are mandatory and require most of the days hours to keep the regions up to surface the different time zones, (east / west coast / GDC off shore groups) nightly batch windows become to dwindle. Ford faces challanges just like any other company in IT.
