  1. stand up and say no or cower down and let real men fight this battle like Walter did years ago!!!
  2. UAW organizers Robert Kanter, Walter Reuther, Richard T. Frankensteen Walter Philip Reuther (September 1, 1907 – May 9, 1970) was an American labor union leader, who made the United Automobile Workers a major force not only in the auto industry but also in the Democratic Party in the mid 20th century. He was a socialist in the early 1930s; he became a leading liberal and supporter of the New Deal coalition. This is just one of many men that gave there life for the many things that we have today. Now how can we just give these things away without the same fight. You don't just give up on things that are worth fighting for. After the last concession this year. Ford and Mullaly stated that the concessions that they had just received put us on an even playing field with everyone else. And all the bragging about the profits they are about to make in this past quarter. What's that all about? Wake up people they would love to see you work for free. How many times do they get to re-promise you the same thing and threaten to take something away from you. Remember Bush did that to you in his second term. Please wake up this is our future.
  3. At the time of the vote for the contract, we where told by international, that they where putting a web site together. That way you would be able to go to it and check to see what plants would have openings, and the number of openings they have. Now, has anyone seen such a web site as of yet. And with all of the current layoffs and tranquil plants closings, this would be crucial info. There are a lot of families at risk here. So I’m going out on a limb to ask does our union or the company really have a concern about us. Anyway the list would be a great help to those that want to transfer to another plant. anyone have any numbers at the plants that are taking people?
  4. Does the union have a candidate that they are supporting for the up coming presidential election? Someone that will be for the working man and woman. :shades:
  5. Well, it is time to vent again………………… this goes out to the Salaried personnel, not all of them. But I am sure you know who you are. How do you look yourself in the mirror at night and in the morning? Just say God got a job as a Tech, driver, inspector, floor something or another in the plant. Would you try to lie to him as you do us? Would you try to bully him as you try to do us? Would you try to invoke tension in his work day as you try to do to us? In these uncertain times instead of coming together as a unit, you have chosen to divide. So I guess we know whose future you have in mind. By the way in case you didn’t know, we are all God’s children, and what you do to us you have also done unto him. None of us on the floor are saints and we don’t pretend to be. We have a percentage that just plain do want to work, and that is a fact. But as far as enacting your childish games against all of us on the floor must come to and end. I do really hope and pray that you can open your eyes and minds, to see that you are dealing with ADULTS! Not children. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/style...efault/blah.gif http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/style...efault/blah.gif
  6. The reason that i ask such a mundane question is that in our plant know one knows what there job en tales. Labor relations thinks there soul purpose is to be a disciplinarian, and not an mediator. If I remember correctly there are three major perspectives that contrast in their approach to the nature of workplace relations. Excuse me while I babble. The three views are generally described as the unitary, pluralist and Marxist perspectives. In unitarianism, the organization is perceived as an integrated and harmonious whole with the ideal of "one happy family", where management and other members of the staff all share a common purpose. Not let's go out on the floor and see who we can write up for not having there safety glasses on. And lets see, we are over budget so lets write everyone up that is one minute late. So can anyone tell me what there job really is??????????Sandusky wants to know.
  7. are the liaisons full time employees, or are they contracted new hire?
  8. 94 hire here at sandusky, and i'm gonna ride this dog to the end :titanic: ]
