  1. Hey all, I have just got a new 2013 F150 limited. Loving the truck so far but I'm seeing a few issues. While pulling about 4500 lbs I was watching my transmission temperature climb into the mid 90's Celsius 200+ Fahrenheit, I am not sure but doubtful if this truck has the max trailer tow on it, as it wasn't available as an option on this trim level but doesn't specify if it comes in it standard. I'm travelling in temperatures just below freezing to -15 Celsius. My experience and research says this temperature is too hot, can anyone give me any input as to what they're seeing and if temps that hot are ok?
  2. I pull with mine and love it, lots of power and no worries in the hills. You'll love it!!
  3. Hi there I have a 2011 F150 Ecoboost Lariat Crew 4x4 and have been having a really annoying knocking sound when on rough or washboard roads. I tried adjusting the striker on the B-pillar and the latch on the door but neither really offer any movement. Is there something else I can do to make the door shut tighter to the weatherstripping? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks
  4. That's priceless you're so lucky! I didn't think a 4cyl Ranger would even need a governor, I would have been willing to bet it would only top out at 80-90 mph going down hill!! Oh and in response to the question above my Eco Boost goes around 102 mph with tires that are 1.5 inches taller than stock.
  5. I just picked up my truck this week and have only put about 700km or 435 miles so far. It is a Crew cab 4x4 Lariat with the off road package, Max tow, and a set of after market 20" rims. So far the mileage is really variable and ranges wildly from at best 10.5 L/100km (22.4 US MPG) if I drive at like 55-60 MPH. If I speed up to what I am used to driving on divided highway in Alberta, Canada at approx 120 km/hr 75 MPH my fuel economy drops down to a gross17.8L/100km (13.2 US MPG) or even into the mid 18's! in L/100km. Is this common? I have asked my dealer and they say to relax and wait 2000km 1250 miles for the computer to learn but that is gross compared to my 2009 I traded was getting 13 L/100km (18 US MPG) at 75 MPH on the highway and would get 11 L/100km (21.5 US MPG) right from after the first tank of gas on. I also miss my 130L tank on my 2009 crew cab and notice the smaller tank right away on this new truck. I wonder if this little engine does not have the stones to get decent mileage if you change anything out side of it's manufactured specifications IE- Larger rims and tires. I went from a 32.1 inch tall stock LT275/65R/18 Goodyear Wrangler ATS to a 33.5" LT285/60R/20 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour. I really hope I don't have to drive super slow to get decent mileage out of this motor, if I do my Eco Boost will become someone else's problem!! and I'll order a Super Duty with a 6.2L gas and get poor mileage for good reason!! Otherwise I love my new truck!!
  6. Good news!! In case you didn't know all ford CD players from 2006 and up are MP3 capable so you will be pleased to know that burned MP3's work great I have been using them in my last 2 trucks!
  7. The delays are non existant in my case, My truck is at Saskatoon at the ramp waiting for a load so it can be delivered, It was scheduled for July 18 for build and I can't believe how quickly it came in! thats only 10 days shipping from the build date to the ramp and that's if it was built on the monday. Build dates are always mondays on the dealer's order tracking sheets meaning it could be built any time that week, maybe they had mine pre-built and shipped it up!! Anyway I am hoping to go get it at the start of the week!
  8. Well to answer my own question orders are coming pretty quick in my case! my truck was scheduled for the week of the 18th of July and now has an ETA of August 3rd I called to see If they had gotten a train car number yet and they suspect it is close to the ramp already! Hope you all have similar luck with current orders, this speed of this order is amazing to me!!?
  9. Hi there just throwing this question out there, as of lately I know there were shipping problems in the recent past but are the ETA's on the orders close to what Ford gives out? My truck was scheduled for last week and shows an ETA at the dealer for August 8th. My serial number is 1FTFW1ET0BFC32325 and it is coming from the Rouge plant, being shipped to the Regina, Sk ramp via Chicago mixing center I believe. At least my 2009 was shipped that way and I suspect that my new one will come the same way. I can't wait to get my hands on it I have some custom wheels and tires that are hopefully gonna look pretty sweet going on there when it comes in. Thanks for any info,
  10. Well supply issues may vary by region perhaps in Canada they are different but according to the region rep from Ford I was told that you cannot get the Polished 20 inch rims and the Navigation for sure. The statement before about Nav being available for retail orders made me think I may have been able to get my truck built with the system in it instead of just the Sony system I am getting. Anyway I have a serial number and my truck is scheduled for build the week of July 18th at the Rouge plant.
  11. You're killing me!!! I deleted NAV off of my order to get my truck built and now you say that if I had left it on it would have gotten built anyway!!!? Sh!t Sh!t Sh!t!!!!!!!! Anyone want a loaded Lariat Crew Eco Boost 157" with everything other than the tailgate step and of course NAV and 20"s!!!?? Might as well wait for a 2012 now!!!
  12. Good Luck getting it, I know the order system still shows you can order all the parts, but if you have a serial number you should be home free as they don't assign a number to units that won't get built or they will change your order to make it buildable. I would double check your dora (the order confirmation) to insure all your goodies are still included on the order. But now I am really jealous as I stripped mine down to get built and I should have possibly stood my ground or waited for a 2012!!
  13. You lucky bugger!! How long ago did you order? I ordered at the end of May and couldn't get Nav or the polished 20" wheels on the Lariat I ordered then I was told the 6 disc system was even out of stock and they built mine, now I regret deleting the nav off of mine if they are still building retail orders with nav in them yet!!
  14. I ordered a full load Lariat 4x4 Crew 157" back at the end of May, and was told to tone down my order as there were no 20's and Nav. So I dropped back to the Sony 6-disc system only to wait 2 more weeks to find out that Ford now says that you can only get a single disc player. So I said scrap my order and my dealer said they'd take the truck for a stock unit anyway. Now this week I find out my order has been scheduled, with the Sony 6 disc system for July 18th. So I can't say anymore either way whether they will build your truck or not so good luck! I know Ford is giving a rebate in Canada for units sold equipped with less than what they come standard with. Lariats will be credited for getting single disc's and Platinum units will be discounted for not having the navigation unit.
  15. Hello all, Just checking to see if the 2012 order guide has been released for the F150 yet, I see on the Super Duty forums that someone posted a link to the 2012 order guide there. So if anyone has access I am curious to see what if any changes may be available for 2012? Thanks for any help!!
