  1. I have been waiting for a couple of years for one of the Big 3 to make another Mid Size 2 door to replace my 93 Thunderbird, but nothing. The Mustangs, pending Challenger and Camaro are a tad too small. I hate ugly 4 door cars, with the 300 and Charger the only ones that I would consider owning, so this may be a good time for me to get one. I will start car shopping after the 4th.
  2. I think it is a little too late for that. Car had a 5 page feature story in Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords, in thJune 2006 issue. Here is a peak. Full article. http://members.tccoa.com/392bird/mm&ff.htm It is a FUN Car now.
  3. Since a huge amount of testing has already been done on this, I will just post one link to how Hot Rodders have already mastered E85. http://www.turbomustangs.com/smf/index.php?topic=47094.0 Ford can easily see that it is Great for the performance guys also. I am converting my 393 this Summer.
  4. The Boss 429 was/is the most desirable Ford ever built. It is Fords equivalent to GMs 63 Corvette Split Window Coupe. I have been a car guy since that time frame, and I guess I always will be. Since I am older, and enjoy a little more interior room now, I decided I would build my own Muscle Car. Here is my project "Mid Life Crisis". 1993 Thunderbird with a built 393 stroker making 500+ HP. I turn 20 years old every time I fire it up.
  5. I have given up on them bringing out any thing that looks decent other than the Mustang. The Mustang is a little small for my taste, and every thing else they make seems to only come in 4 doors now. I decided to support the after market, and keep my 93 Thunderbird. The complete drive train has been replaced, and is a FUN car to drive now with 500+ HP. Even the Focus could be made into a decent looking car if they had a 2 boor version. When I buy a 4 door car, it will be when I need it to put my walker easyly into the back seat.
  6. Another Bird owner here. I had a 59 with the rare 430 engine in it back in the early 60s, then a 62 convertable that I kept a long time. Was into Mustangs after that for several cars. Ordered my 93 Bird in late 92, and plan on keeping it forever. It went from the Family Car , to my weekend play car 2 years ago. Still waiting on Ford to bring back some thing bigger than a Mustang in a 2 door.
  7. I wonder what the size will be compared to the Mustang? I want something a tad bigger than a Mustang, and this may be it.
  8. I want to see Ford bring back a choice of 2 dr or 4 dr versions of there cars. Some of these cars have some nice lines, but would be so much nicer as a 2 dr version. The way things are now, we have to chose between a 4 door family type car, or a little 2 door that only kids can fit comfortable in. A Mustang is about the only choice that we have, and it is a little to cramped for comfort. A 4 dr car is fine for Soccer Moms, Family Trips, but as I look at what is available, I seem to be left with choosing between a 4 door, a too small 2 dr, or switching to a Chevy Monte Carlo to have a stylish comfortable 2 door car. When I get old, and need a walker, a 4 door car will be nice to put the walker in the back seat easy. Till then, I prefer a decent size 2 door car.
