Too bad its still a hunk of crap compared to the Euro Version!

I think the reason why this is going on is because of Pepboys ("Futura") and GT40 Spares. If you remember after this spectacle Ford said they would be going after their vehicle names!!! so i dont know why this isnt a surprise. secondly everything was fine until "Pepboys" and "GT40 Spares" tried to extort money from Ford. A few bad eggs screws everyone over! Personally i dont blame Ford for this at all.

I understand your point........ but i am going out on a limb here to say "well what did you expect"!!!!!!!! After what GT40 Spares did to Ford on the new Ford SuperCar the GT............. Did you forget what happened here??????? What about the Ford Fusion.... I mean Ford Futura & and Pep Boys............ Let me ask you again........... what did you expect. Brings us back to the a common argument, a few bad eggs screw everyone!!!!!!!!! I will never shop at Pepboys and if i ever get a original GT40 i will never buy from GT40 Spares. So why would you want to boycott Ford over this? they are doing what any of us would do in there situation, they are protecting their interests.

dont do it just yet buddy! Give the Ford 500 AWD CVT a try. It is light years ahead of the taurus (i also owned one with 400K on the clock and no problems) The 500 Shell is designed in conjuction with Volvo, its basically a S80. the AWD system was developed by Haldex a very well known name in AWD technology, the 3.0 liter engine was developed with the help of Cosworth racing. The tranny is Designed & made by ZF Germany. They are amazing cars and nothing like their predecesors (windstar/Taurus) Cheers

I hate to say this but "The age of the Union is Gone" and i deceded to do something about it. You want to know wht that is? I go fed up at my old Union job and rellying on someone else for job security. I went back to school and came out and electrical engineer. the best thing is i can quit my job and find another one the next day and i never ever have to rely on anyone ever again. I can even creat my own work. Whats my point you ask???? Like my mother always says "people can take everything away from you, but your degree and education will always be with you" One more thing i would like to add. Buddy take that 100K ford is offering and go back to school. You can make the decisions in life or you can just accept them.

So if it started to "exhibit" the above conditions before the warranty period and "YOU" did nothing about it. So who's fault is this? Why didn't you take it to the dealer at that time????? If a warranty is 10 years or up to 100000 miles which ever comes first, then why would it cover you for another 10000 miles? I figuired 10 year or 100000 miles is pretty self-explainitory! If companies in general used your doctorine on warranties thery would be losing their shirts. If i was Ford i wouldnt do anything for you!

I am a ford guy and always have been, but i read that it has a 6SPD and 10000LBs towing capacity. ford better get that Lincoln navigator 6spd beefed up and put in. and they need the 6.2 From past experiences with Toyotas and my buddies Tacoma we have found that the dealers have a captive list on certain parts. and they are so expensive. No Napa.

A new Cosworth Version (so i dont have to import one, Cause i will when its released) 7. consolidate the Mazda 3 production and focus to wayne michigan (C1) Mustang 1. Offer the IRS option 2. 6spd manual 3. Recaro seats!!!!!! 4. 302 Boss package Fusion 1. AWD 2. Turbo 500 1. keep updating and dont let the car age 2. No complaints i love it Crown Vic 1. One last thing, when your running on the alternator solely, your fuel pump will also need a fair amount of current to kepp it going at the required pressure to atomize the fuel out of the injectors. so if its not running at full speed you will also stall out.

sounds like the problem is a bad battery connection. heres my theory: basically from the way you have described it your alternator is running things because your battery is cutting out, therefore 100% of the cars laod is put on the alternator where as if the battery was connected and functioning correctly you should have no more that 40% alternator pull with half your auxilaris on. Basically it trickle charges the battery all the time. now why your car is dying is very simple. when you battery cuts out your car is running off your alternator fully. when you come to a stop your engine is spinning less and therefore you alternator cant produce enought current to keep the coil packs fired and then she leaves you at the side of the road. and im guessing this is a automatic :lol: right? with a automatic and these stall condition your even more prone to stall. with a manual you can clutch in and rev it. Things to check: The main positive cable coming from battery have your dealer check the following. the main lead will connect to a small block that goes to the alternaton and starter. it sounds like this block (cant remember what its called) is the problem! i'd put money that this part is bad! I highly doubt it has anything to do with the ECU or any harness. if the harness was bad it would have left some tell tale marks or burns! another area of though might be a bad ground on the car but that is a slim possibility. Check that positive terminal block. Those of you who are about to critise me, think again. I know mustangs very very well fox's, SN95's, to the S197. I know the new ones pretty well as i have been modifying many of them. i ran into the same problem on one of them. his dealer couldnt figuire it out after 7 attempts so he broght it to me. I dont have much faith in ford techs (some of them are good mind you but most of them arnt) they rely on their diagnostic equipment more than anything. Tammi trust me you have had it easy with this Ford try owning a XR4Ti!!!!!!!!! I just finished rebuilding my XR4Ti as a chalenge and mechanically its better than when it left the factory. but seriously if you do talk to Bill Ford ask him to bring back some much needed parts for the Merkur XR4Ti.
