The rear roof line of the test vehicle looks like it curves down more, which contrasts with the current version, giving it a newer, more modern look.

I had read a twin disc clutch and a dual-mass flywheel for added strength and better pedal feel. As well as new gearing with a shorter first gear and two overdrives for improved acceleration and better fuel economy.

I at least know thst there are no muffler belts on any vehicles;)
I have basic knowledge of the four cycle engine, but I definitely don't fully understand all the new tech and its implications for the engines.

I sure enjoy the technical engine info that many people post on this forum. Even if you don't know what your talking about, it sure sounds good and I'll never know the difference. Perhaps some day I'll have a full understanding of all the technical aspects of these engines if I keep learning from this forum, so keep it up.

Update please. Checking in to see if we finally got some allocation:
Dealer Code: F41200
Order Number: 0204
Thanks!

I believe it's more of a choice not to include those options because of an unwillingness to invest any more money in the old model. It was suggested that the recent minor changes that were made to the Expy/Nav were changes that had been mothballed for a while until they decided what to do with the Expedition as a whole and then finally pulled the trigger on the minor MCEs while they were waiting for the new models to arrive.

I've read that the six-speed manual is not carry over and has been upgraded as well. Is this transmission still made in China? There were a number of quality issues with the last manual that was sourced from China, so it would be nice to avoid that this time.

I'd say an additional car payment would be a good reason to stop him
Or as my Dad likes to say, "fear and good sense."

Yes, unfortunately there is: $$$$$
I understand, lol. The same reason I don't have one in my driveway. Unfortunately it is not unlimited.

That's funny - as I've said, I've only seen one! (On the road that is).
Are you North Shore?
No, western suburbs.

These changes are exactly what was needed! The additional power/low end torque, the configurable gauges, the active exhaust and the mag dampers will bring the Mustang up to the content level of the Camaro while retaining its more friendly daily driver refinement and comfort advantages. Had this been available in the fall of 2016 instead of the fall of 2017, there would be one in my garage right now!
Nothing is stopping you from picking one up and parking it next to the Lincoln.

I like the Ridgeline personally and think it's a really good vehicle for its intended market and purpose. It's not trying to be a F150.
It's a fine vehicle for what it is. The front facia is very soft for truck though. I've seen quite a few in Chicagoland, which isn't too surprising though.

I'm honestly more concerned about other environmental matters such as wildlife protection and conservation programs.
I sincerely don't believe you will have to worry about that.

I hate to say it but almost all of the improvements to this Mustang can be attributed to the 6th gen camaro from the Magnetic Suspension system to the variable exhaust. That's the amazing thing about competition, GM is finally giving Ford a kick in the pants to evolve the Mustang. Ford can no longer take it's costumers for granted. I remember when you could count the lifecycle of the Mustang platforms by the decades and a solid rear axle was considered acceptable on a sports car in the 21st century.
In any case, I'm a big fan of the updates.
Competition is great, it makes things better. That's why the F Series is so good, it has competent competitors.

Apparently I missed the new administration's talk about rolling back FE standards, as I don't recall anything about that.

I had seen these photos earlier, and the car looks MUCH better in this color. I can now rest easier with this MCE, lol.

Good deal. Glad they didn't have to remove the seat. How long before you install the tune?

I suspect a lot will change regarding this truck before it rolls out of a US factory. Even if it shares a lot of underpinnings it's a good truck to start with.

I never liked the frowny Mustang fascia so a bigger and sadder one doesn't really do it for me, but I think people will be surprised by how more 'exotic' the Mustang looks with some of the design choices they made. It's smoother, wider, flatter, sharper, closer to the ground. I would argue it looks more upscale, less conventional and more contemporary. The less 'lumpy' look won't be for everyone, but I'm curious to see what the GT 350 looks like.
My understanding is the 2018 GT350 will not receive the changes the other 2018 Mustang models will receive.

Double post.

Based on the side by side comparison, I like the 2017 better, but I imagine the 2018 will grow on me.

I'm not sure what to think about that. Seems the grill opening is wider or something. I need more pics to get a feel for it.

Everything looks the same today, and they have the same capabilities and features. The real trick is not giving them reasons to NOT buy the car. Unfortunately, Focus came up with plenty of reasons. Essentially I don't think styling matters that much anymore but it's good to have something that allures people more than usual.
Agreed that the transmission woes do not help sell the car either, but respectfully disagree that styling doesn't impact peoples' purchasing decisions.

If the 2018 looks like that it will have little impact on sales, because it gives a current owner little incentive to upgrade. Aesthetics are what initially drive someone to consider buying a new vehicle. You want that "gotta have it" first impression, not the "seen that before."
I think that is part of the Fusion's sales problem, beyond the market shrinkage.

Perhaps the new Trailblazer will be used for a patrol vehicle. The Traverse seems slightly too long for this use to me.
