  1. Their better with Bertuzzi and Caulder. I wish they would have picked up Gary Roberts. Pittsburg got him and he is a terror in the playoffs. Just what Detroit could use. Pittsburg--Ottawa should be a great series.
  2. It is a nice product. Tough market though.
  3. They used to make over 300k Windstars a year. They could produce 100k Edges in a few months with 3 shifts. Then what do they do with the other 200k? How long you going to keep that Red Wing banner up this year? Probably gone after the first round.
  4. Ford is only planning on selling 100k per year. That may have been a high month in sales.
  5. Funny how the main stream press never publisized the WHO study. "A serious public health threat had to be manufactured, and in 1993 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stepped in to the rescue with their bogus environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) study that says secondhand tobacco smoke is a class A carcinogenic. Why is it bogus? The EPA claimed that 3,000 Americans die annually from secondhand smoke, but there was a problem. They couldn't come up with that conclusion using the standard statistical 95 percent confidence interval. They lowered their study's confidence interval to 90 percent. That has the effect of doubling the margin of error and doubling the probability that mere chance explains those 3,000 deaths. The Congressional Research Service (CRS) said, "Admittedly, it is unusual to return to a study after the fact, lower the required significance level, and declare its results to be supportive rather than unsupportive of the effect one's theory suggests should be present." The CRS was being kind. This kind of doctoring of research results would get a graduate student expelled from a university. In 1998, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer released the largest ever and best formulated study on ETS. The research project ran for 10 years and in seven European countries. The study, not widely publicized, concluded that no statistically significant risk existed for nonsmokers who either lived or worked with smokers." http://www.townhall.com/columnists/WalterE...d_public_policy
  6. Easy solution. FMC has once again lost their mind and is now trying to shove GW down my throat. I will not buy a Ford.
  7. You have no idea what fleet sales volumes are. I think Ford has greatly increased fleet on the CD3's and soon we will see I am once again right.
  8. Singer states that second hand smoke is not the great danger that the junk scientists make it out to be. The 2 longest and largest studies have came to the conclusion that second hand smoke does not increase increase health problems.
  9. So you are saying the increase then decrease in CO2 is a natural occurrence that has happened many times in the past with no anthropogenic contribution? You still never told me why it stabilizes and goes down? What has caused the levels to rise in the past occurences? And of course why is the a 800 year lag in the increase in the CO2? And why has the UN not released the scientific data to back up their claims? The UN is such a corrupt organization.
  10. Must be your first time dealing with the attack ostriches.
  11. Be patient. The data will soon be available and you will be wrong again. March 2007 sales LOL 300 - 11,376 (-15%) Charger - 12,707 (+36%) Magnum - 2,983 (-41%) Why can't Ford build that many cars in one plant?
  12. What causes nature to tip the climate in the other direction and CO2 levels to reduce? If CO2 is the main cause why doesn't CO2 keep increasing until the Earth is a burning ball of fire? This makes absolutely no sense according to the greenhouse warming effect.
  13. They should be able to make 30k a month on 3 shifts. They are not at capacity in the Mexican plant.
  14. And exactly what has the UN done right in the last 15 years? Darfur? Totally incompetent. Rwanda? Millions slaughtewred due to the incompetence of the UN. Stopping NK or Iran from building a nuclear bomb? UN is totally useless. Food for oil program? UN and their cronies pocketed billions including Konie Annans family. With all the problems in the world that the UN is supposed to correct and their utter inability to do their job why are they the leaders of the Global Warming crusade? It is all about money. The UN is probably the most corrupt, incompetent organization in the world. Way to many tax dollars are already wasted on this crooked organization.
  15. Yes the blown in foam is a superior product for a northern climate. With stick built and no foam on the outside the fiberglass insulation cools. As fiberglass batt cools its effective R-value is reduced. It is a poor cold weather insulation. And the house wrap is generally put up with staples. Every staple is 2 holes. A combination of a thin layer of blown on foam covered with fiberglass or cellulose is the best in the attic. Heat rises, stop the leaks in the attic and you will save much energy. And anytime you use stickbuilt the wood is a very poor conductor compared to the insulation. If you take an infared camera when it is cold out you will see all the studs as cold spots. I might build a stick house with fiberglass to sell but certainly not to live in myself. Do your kid a favour and show him the new building methods. Particularly with the tight labor market in Edmonton SIPs might be a good way to go. Buy large pieces and screw them together. Faster but more expensive for material and a better finished product. http://www.kenilworth.com/publications/mod...fs/mm_06_11.pdf
  16. In Florida ICF houses are the best way to go. In Canada SIP, ICF or stickbuilt with blown in insulation are the the superior design. Interesting that there are rumblings that fiberglass insulation has the same cancer causing qualities as asbestos. This has for now been largely swept under the rug. Info on the different methods of house building. There are supporters of the different types except for stick built with fiberglass wool batts which is only built for the low cost. http://www.greenbuildingtalk.com/Forums/ta.../5/Default.aspx
  17. I wired up a R-2000 house that had that exhaust fan feature about 15 years ago. And it is new breaking technology in Edmonton?
  18. And that is how you improve the the tightness of a wood stick home. Cover it with well sealed foam. However then the costs can start approaching blown in foam which is far superior. You can buy compact flourescents that are compatable with dimmers and they make a very small size compact flourescent that will fit in most fixtures.
  19. The 2 biggest problems with stick built and fiberglass batt type insulation is getting a leak free seal, the fact R value lowers as the temperature lowers for this type of insulation and air will flow right through this type of insulation. This has been extensively tested and proven. Only one day in Jan/07 and one in Feb/07 below minus 30. These temperatures are from outside the city. Temperatures taken right inside the city would cut the number of minus 40deg days way back. http://www.climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/...nth=1&Day=5
  20. Must be a really, really low discovery rate. LOL "The Ford Five Hundred has been a solid product, and it has one of the highest satisfaction rates in our lineup," said Cisco Codina, Ford's group vice president of North America Marketing, Sales and Service. "Once people discover the vehicle, nearly 60 percent end up buying a one.
  21. Stick built with fiberglass insulation is the worst performing house style for insulation value. That is just a fact. Stick built with blown in foam, Sip or ICF are all much better performing.
  22. Coldest day in Edmonton January was -36.1 and only one day in the minus 30's. No minus 40 temperatures in Edmonton this winter. You really live there? You seem to have a lot of Walter Mitty in you. http://www.climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/...ailydata_e.html Face it, minus 40 in Edmonton is very rare.
  23. And exactly how do you know this? Who owns this site. The question has been asked many times with no answer provided. Well RJ just asked me if I thought he was a liar. Something to think about.
