the only plus to this, is they are fairly cheap to find used. I agree they are a sharp car that should have competed with higher class cars.

the e-series is always that last to get new upgrades. I think they use it to get rid of remaining stock of engines and transmissions. As far as Roll Stability Control, that has been available for the past two years on the econoline. They call it Advance Trac RSC. For the price though, they cant be beat, I like the idea of a diesel 350 for towing and camping in the back, but w/o 4wd, I think I would look at the Excursion.

what was wrong with the Excursion?

I heard a rumor that Ford will stop producing Mini-vans.. (Freestar/ Monterey I assume) is there any truth to this?

I'm going to guess that the "import" factories in the US are not having this discusssion, nor would they ever. But Ford and GM does.. huh..
