There must be some rumours floating around some michigan and ohio plants that are getting back too relatives/friends from michigan and ohio that transfered to LAP otherwise why would the LAP chairman be telling michigan and cleveland tranfers via email newsletter that if they accepted the enhanced moving allowance than they cannot return to michigan or ohio (which is contractually correct). The international could be doing a better job advocating for people that want to transfer closer to home or to reunite married couples.

Lima is in the middle of nowhere but if you like small town atmosphere it is for you. Also, if a choice that work is to kept at Lima or Cleveland has to be made, Lima Engine will win hands down because of its flexible contract. Sharonville makes ONE transmission - for the heavy duty trucks, f250 and up. The majority of Sharonville's work is machining for Van Dyke. With Livonia and Van Dyke in the Detroit area, if one transmission Plant has to go - it will be Sharonville. Good Luck ! Hopes this helps.
