The whole plant is shut down from Oct.2-Oct.16.

I actualy work at the plant that makes these trucks and, what happened is that on of the guides in the floor came loose and ,were sticking up. It tore up some tires but, The problem was taken care of pretty quickly. You need to give us a little room to make the best product that we can...our asses are on the line!

There are at least 25 people on layoff on each shift from the body shop right now, untill Jan....where are you getting your info?

Do you think you get any accurate answer here? The head cheese in the body shop said to us skilled guy's in an informational meeting, that there is a 80% chance of us going to one shift. You need to take all of this with a grain of salt because ,they do not hardly know what going on most of the time.... :shrug: Time will tell

We do not have a box line in yet...hopfully after the tear out of the old stuff,we can install the nessary equiptment to run whatever comes our way. No one is really saying what is going to happen here... :shrug:

The navigator is also very god looking.....I will sell very well.We will be very busy filling first orders for awile.........

Yep,you're right. Just tryin to look on the plus side. I have been thru a couple of closings also so, I know that there are never sure things....

Tore out the big elevator from the J-asile yesterday...The running board pit is getting close to being done.

They are redoing the running board pit and several areas around final this week. New moon roof fixture going in. Looks like the changes are for the extended version comming this year. They keep pumping money into the plant so, with a little luck we will be here next year.

All we need to do is keep our act together and, we should be fine. This scare tactic was also used in the 80's. Just try to do the best job you can and, let things play out on there own..I am also in your plant so, I hear all the crap also, just try and let it go.

Just had another meeting today..This is turning into a daily scare tactic to insure everybody is in constant confusion and fear..This is not the way to make good products. If Ford really wants to work like a small company, you should nurture your people not whip them into submission. Our managment says we are known in the company as a plant that is in constant odds with each other. All the upper people seem to know is scare everybody into doing things their way. This has never proved to be a good way to go. If you need to get good product, we actually need some people that know how things work and flow. We need knowledge out here,not just the freinds and relitives of the higher ups.We have been asked to help but, we have been kicked in the teeth too many times before, what will be different this time?
