  1. Ford will do what they want to, what senior employees want will have no bearing on their decision, working there for so long you should know this by now. If anything they prefer the down weeks, so the senior people are not making much more than if they would of retired, like this more may want to retire and Ford can introduce there two tier wage system.
  2. Don't be surprised we are already 1 shift in the company's eyes 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, as for cancelling a shift completely I agree highly improbable.
  3. Just an idea but seeing how, National Steel Car, Toyota , and others are doing workshare fridays off is that something that can be done here at ford.
  4. Great to hear of all the call backs from layoff. Does anyone know when and if the fairlane is to start production as well as what the possibility of the third shift starting and when. Someone told me C shift will never happen and that C shift will be cancelled across the board body, paint, BAMR that are currently working , I find that hard to believe but take it for what it is a rumor and thats all.
  5. does anyone know the start date to build the "fairlane"
  6. You make me laugh, you do not even respond to the posts, actually Stupidity better describes you and all your useless posts :blah: :blah: :blah:
  7. its great to see you have no life or other interests besides ford, the company loves a ignorant employee like you, who would work as long as they can and as a result draw very little from there pension because eventually you will pass away
  8. With the clock winding down on its slow-selling minivans, a Ford Motor executive has finally confirmed that a production version of the Ford Fairlane concept car is planned for 2008, after months of rumors and reports. According to suppliers, Lincoln will also get a version of the new crossover. This news comes after The Detroit News cited "insiders" within the company last month who claimed the Fairlane had gotten the go-ahead. AutoWeek's source is a company executive who didn't want to be identified. The new vehicle will replace the Monterey and Freestar minivans in the three-rows-of-seats market segment, but at this stage little else is known about the final form of the car. As we reported back in February, both the Ford and Lincoln models will be built at Ford's Oakville, Ontario plant. As we reported earlier, the Ford production version of the concept car is unlikely to carry the Fairlane badge. No word on the hybrid version, also rumored in February, but with Ford backing off on its hybrid promises of late, that's not surprising.
  9. This parking policy Ford has implimented has not made national news, it is all about perception and when driving down the QEW it looks better have Fords parked in the main parking lot than having an array of non Fords parked under the blue oval. It is Fords policy and there property quit your whining.
  10. Wishful thinking country wide seniority is not going to happen. Plant seniority is all that matters
  11. Does anyone know how many people work nights in body build and paint shop.
  12. I believe that if stap employees were to come to OAC they would all arrive with 1 year senority therefore you would not loose your job.
