  1. Exclude all the accounting games, debt for equity swaps, and other debt writedown deals, Ford would have lost roughly $638 million for the second quarter. Bottom line is this, the company is still not creating enough revenue from the sales it generates to produce a profit!!!! Ford is still operating at a loss!!! Be smart everyone sell your stock if you have any into this suckers rally. You have been given a gift, get out now!!! It won't last much longer!!
  2. Wow!!! If this is an indication of how bad Ford Motor Company treats it's employees then how bad do they treat their customers? I think my wife and I will be looking for other vehicles from other manufacturers now. This website really exposes the cancer that has infected both the company and the Unions and I can now clearly see will ultimately send Ford to bankruptcy in roughly a year from now!
  3. Setting the record straight for STAP: 1) $1700.00 bonus paid out to your bank account Thursday June 25th. 2) #3500.00 "pay in lieu of holiday time off" paid out to your bank account Thursday August 20th. Source, STAP Ford Motor Company of Canada (Labour Relations) and confirmed by CAW Local 1520 benefits representatives!
  4. - 2010 Model Year: All models and all styles, CV&GM&TC, 100% Fleet only! No more retail. - 2011 Model Year: No changes - 2012 Model Year: If there are no changes or extentions to new legislative govenment mandated safety requirements, then Ford will cease production of the entire panther platform sometime in calandar year 2011 which will be the 2012 model year. The panther car line will end, the future of the STAP plant itself beyond the panther's is still unknown at this time.
  5. Ford is limiting the Panther sales slowly over time and also requiring a premium for special orders to select buyers. By limiting the sales a bit at a time they hope to build justification for ending production of the entire panther line due to declining sales. The plan is to stop producing the entire panther platform (CV/GM/TC) all at once, in one location sometime in 2011. The economic life span of the panther cars lasts to long for Ford to keep producing them. They want you to buy their other cars that will wear out faster require more frequent maintenance and need replacing sooner! Henry Ford would have been proud to see how durable, reliable and safe the panthers have become today. So much talk today about making cars safer yet no one at Ford recognises or ever advertises the standout safety feature of Body-On-Frame construction that makes all the panther's so durable and reliable and safe. It will be a sad day when the final decision to end the panther line is announced. It will bring to an end yet another chapter of one of Henry Ford's vision of creating a truly durable rock solid automobile for the thrifty working class. It seems that Henry's vision won't survive into the next generation.
  6. Very true what I have been reading here. They are all trying to break up the Unions. If we don't stand up and fight back soon it will all be "gone with the wind". Our Auto world is dying.........the Governments and the Corporations don't care about us, which is understandable because they think differently than we do. We all have to take care care of ourselves now because these people are disturbed and willing to destroy us and our way of life and all that we have progressed up to. I ask myself how can they be doing this to us, and my answer to myself is, because they can! Good luck to everyone in a more cynical, frightening and evil world.
  7. Currently this year, January to July 2008. St. Thomas has generated a profit of roughly 266 million dollars for Ford. You can now do the math to calculate profit-per-vehicle.
  8. Will Ford be offering any buyouts to plants up here in Canada? OAC is getting the Flex plant so they are allright. Parts plants in Windsor are closing and STAP is going to 1 shift about halfway through 2007. I'm sure alot of Ford employees up here in Canada would take advantage of these new extended buyouts if Ford would offer them up here!
  9. I agree. The company needs to give us more details so we can more effectively plan our futures. The buyouts need to be offered to All Union UAW and CAW employees.
  10. Inside line, http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=104825 has learned that Ford will extend the lifespan of the Crown Vic and Grand Marquis to 2010 and beyond!
  11. Does anybody know if Ford has discontinued the fleet sales of Crown Vic yellow taxi cabs?
  12. I have been reading that the current panther platform will soon be replaced with a derivative of the Ford Falcon EA169 platform in 2008. They say that this new derivative will be the replacement for the Crown Victoria and the Grand Marquis. I have also read that the Lincoln Town Car will be replaced with an AWD sedan based on the Ford D3 platform and that future models for the D3 platform are, 2007 an unnamed Lincoln sedan which is a replacement for the Lincoln LS, 2008 an unnamed large Lincoln sedan being a V-8 AWD replacement for the Lincoln Town Car. Has anyone been reading about these plans? Does anyone have any comments or additional information?
  13. If the above plants are safe, could you tell me when STAP will close? 2008, 2010 or 2012?
