I agree with the poor gearing in the standard 5 speed trans. How about that first gear, lord if the car could get traction you could pull a freight train. My 06 wagon 5 speed does run close to 40 mpg at 70 mph on a long run. In fact I have sen 41 mpg, but average runs about 34 to 36 mpg. Our 05 sedan automatic gets poor mileage and best I've seen on a long run is 31 mpg, the average on it is about 23 mpg. The VW diesel is a much better looking package for mileage.

Someone said to look for "Red Flags" and vote no. Sure and the UAW will say it passed by 51%, I don't know about you but I ain't forgot that one yet!

You have to remember the idea of the X plan was to lure car buyers out of whatever brand other than a Ford they were driving and into a Ford. Your already a Ford owner. I for one would like to see the X-plan only be good if you are coming from another brand to Ford. Then as you say maybe a plan should be made up for loyal customers. Maybe the longer you've owned a Ford the higher the discount or something like that. But like rebates the sticker price will go up to make the deal look better.

I have a 2005 Focus auto trans. It's has had a very rough idle since new. It's been back to the dealer several times and always the same answner "it's normal". For those of you with 2005 with auto trans is it normal?? At a stop light I can feel it vibrate in the seat and steering wheel. Sometimes it's so rough a idle it feels like it will stall, but never has.

What is it with Ford they just make one poor decision after another. Just ask nearly any RV'er what has happened to nearly every RV company Thor has become involved with. Ford you better borrow a few more billion as Thor will eat it up for you.

What's the best MPG you have got from your Focus?? Please state year, auto or manual. Best on my 2005 auto is 27 highway Best on my 2006 Manual is 42 highway

Yes eveyone wants a X-Plan, but then you give them one and they never use it. I have given out several pins on this forum over time and very few have ever been used. Yet I keep seeing others wanting them. Maybe those of use having them to give out should impose our own use it in 30 days or it will be cancelled.

Any others had a problem with their 2006 F-150 equipped with General Tires having a sidewall blow out???

Why would you want to talk to Ford Management about your problem?? Upper Management would have no idea what you were talling about. They have been paid for the truck you bought, that's about all they care. Most of top management don't have a clue what their looking at when they do a plant tour. They may notice trash laying around and want it taken care off. You might better take your truck to another dealer and hope they take a fresh look at it with new eyes and find the problem.

Howdy there Mr. Ford Well, Mr. Ford now I have a 2006 Ford Focus with 1800 miles on it and drips engine oil on my garage floor. If it isn't one thing it's some thing else with the last 4 new Ford Products I've had. I know, no big problem Ford will fix it. But I have to take the car to the dealer, find a way to get back home, wait 2 or 3 days to get the call the car is ready. Get someone to take me to the dealer. Then pray it gets fixed the first time in and nothing else got broke fixing it. It was already in once and came back with black grease on both front seats.

Are there any from Wayne Assembly here?? I have a order in for a Focus wagon, ordered on 2/6/06. Just wondering if the plant has any downtime coming up scheduled?? Any idea how long the wait is for a build??
